That issue should then be addressed and petitioned to allow, when proof is given to a couple that has been monogamous, such an act to occur.

Well, would it matter?

I don't see why I shouldn't be able to post on these threads. They're meant for discussions.

Yes you have every right to but........that's a lot of discussion on marriage, don't you think?

I don't see a point in your issues. They just go on and on.

My sister's gay and married.
She is one of the nicest people I know, and I'm so glad I got to be there on her special day.
I think it's wrong to rob people of marriage if they want to. For me, it's like saying every guy who's name starts with J can't get married because it's precieved to be a sissy name or something like that.
My sister is a wonderful person, before and after I found out she was gay.

Also, for transgenders, I have to disagree with you oscuria. I personally think that they should NEVER go to jail, and although help from a therapist might help make their decision on whether to change their gender, I don't think we should force them into making an opinion that could be extremely harmful to them in the long run.

Yes, I am sure I will see the light after taking such a course. I will begin to cook, do the laundry, and listen to Cher. I'll pack up on Schick razors. Gender is a social construct!

To me there is no difference. Everything else is liberal jargon. Unless you happen to be a Hijra.

Just because someone is BIOLOGICALLY a certain sex doesn't mean they are that sex NEUROLOGICALLY. That is what I'm trying to say. Some hormonal fluctuation during pregnancy could cause the body to develop one way and the brain to develop the other way.

WHY is gay marriage such a controversial issue here on WP? To those who oppose the legalization of gay marriage I say this: WHAT ABOUT THE PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS?? Opposing gay marriage AFAIC is ANTI-INDIVIDUAL! It says that individuals who seek to do something in the persuit of their own happiness should NOT be legally allowed to do it because it defies the social norms...Thats ASSININE!

MIGHT I ADD: Sexual orientation and *gender identity* are Not the same thing! Just cuz you're "gay" doesnt necessarily mean you identify with the opposite sex. Gay men are STILL Men, even though they prefer to f*ck other men instead of women.

I agree with you, D1nk0. Gender identity is what leads to transsexualism. Not being gay.

BTW, asinine is spelt with one s. Or was it spelt that way deliberately, out of frustration?

Regardless of the label, symbol, or whatever, it is all the same to me.

How gender identity and sexual orientation are the same to you?

I know of one transgendered woman who likes men.

Well you're WRONG buddy :!: Scientific research as well as testimonies from PUH-LEN-TY of gay men themselves suggests otherwise. I have known several gay men who Identify VERY strongl as men. In fact, one of them was a body builder. There was a gay rugby player named Mark Binham who ironically was on board Flight 93 on September 11th.

I got nothing against gays and wouldn't oppose it.

And usually I got nothing against trannies either except...well... if one of them successfully tricked me into thinking they were really a woman and got me into bed with them before I found out, I don't doubt that I would be more enraged than ever.
