You criticize Christianity while not knowing anything about it, you support modern science without understanding it, and now you're insulting my English while grammatically raping your own language. It's "Stupid little American," you capitalize the first letter of a sentence and the first letter of a name.



How would you know? You've shown that you know neither English nor mathematics.



Considering that Americans predominantly speak it, it's my language too. So please don't butcher your queen's royal English.



I speak a particular dialect of the English language appropriate for my country. Let's just say that if I went around saying "bloody twats" I would probably get my ass kicked.

It was so weird there when the title of the thread mysteriously changed from "The Worst Thing About Religion" to "Let's Focus All Of Our Attention On BenjaminBreeg". That was wondrous. Perhaps even miraculous. Either way.


Psychiatry is governed by science. Schizophrenia is governed by psychiatry.

I look see most religious people as somewhere on the 'schizophrenic spectrum'. The symptoms fit. If they're having hallucinations something is off. If he hears a voice and refers to it as Bumblebee he needs a bit more Thorazine. (OR! In the event he's not the President of the US and hears a voice called telling him to kill people, he needs more Thorazine.)

So, in my world, those of the religious variety get the psychiatric label, which lets me deconstruct their "faith" with my science because their faith isn't actually real, it's all hallucinations and delusions.

Well, technically speaking, they didn't lose so much as decide not to fight anymore... the war lost popularity with the British rulers, who had other colonies to "protect" (enforce).

But, on my grandfathers side, I had ancestors in America fight the english, so I still like to say they lost.

And I was attacking the religion, untill I started getting attacked. I must have hit a nerve.

What you were attacked for was that your arguments made no sense- multiple atheists and agnostics have agreed on that, so it's not just Christians offended at their religion being insulted. You were the one who commenced actual personal attacks.

haha, oh yes, I keep forgetting all of us on the spectrum never make mistakes, and how perfect we are. Ok so I have trouble getting my point across, thats my weakness. So ok, everyone now confess their weaknesses and i'll attack you for it, ok go:

The reason to have religion is because we choose to have religion. A number of theists claim that there are proofs, such as the standard proofs such as the cosmological argument, archaeological proofs from the time of Christ pointing to his existence, and lastly the presuppositional argument that the existence of God is a necessary fact to fit in our understanding of the universe. Finally, the benefits of religion are clear, a community, some source of internal comfort, and if the claims are correct then the favor of God and a good afterlife.
