one? bahaha! what was i trying to say the other day, before the christian crusade went beserk. I just said how does it add up, that humans have only been around for thousands of years, but the earth has been here for millions/billions, and Adam and Eve were put on the earth shortky after God "created" it. No-one actually tried to answer, you just went mental.

The obnoxious evangelicals are not nearly so large a portion as most people believe them to be. You're falling prey to the availability heuristic by thinking that those people constitute a large portion of the population that considers itself Christian.

so you're saying the "moral majority", as those degenerates like to be called, is a myth?

If by "moral majority" you mean right-wing Republicans who believe the ravings of televangelists, then yes.

[rhetorical question] If it weren't a myth, would the Democrats have control of Congress right now? [/rhetorical question]

yes, that's what i'm refering to.

you say that about the democrats but what about reagan, bush, bush 1.37, et all? that stuff is always chalked up to the moral majority being mobilized and i think when the dems won, wasn't rove also on the outs with many of the evangelists because they finally wised up to how he used them and how he views them as just pawns to be manipulated?

Honestly, I can't see why you care. This has gone from the point of expressing concern about equal representation in religious arguments, among mods and about religion being flamed the instant it appears. I'm sick of both sides' s**t. You've gone from arguing the validity of religion to finding ways to burn it. You know what? Go do something about it. I don't want to hear either side complain. No, Christians are not treated fairly here, because it is a general Asperger's mindset to believe only the explainable. Those that disagree come across as fools for being different. If it were any of my choice, Religious talk of any kind (by the way, Atheism is the religion of not believing in religion, so that would count) should be a ban-worthy offense. You people can't argue rationality where there isn't any. So end this, now, and I'm beginning a full-fledged appeal tomorrow. If you can't argue reasonably, you shouldn't argue at all. Be gone, all of you!! You bastards should be ashamed!

Peace, Scott. Your appeal will go nowhere, and soon enough the religious talk in PPR will die down to make room for a new subject of controversy.

EDIT: You will, however, find a sympathetic ear for your appeal with Quatermass (one of our mods). He tends to be in favor of trashing PPR entirely. Really though, unless we invite the mods here over some complaint, this part of the forum is pretty much unmoderated.

I can understand that. These people here are beyond help. The reason America sucks, people hate each other, and Governments are doomed is because no one can cooperate or compromise. The Basis of American Government as a whole is agreement and barter. (we'll put this on the bill if you vote for it.) Because everyone thinks they are infinitely and absolutely correct, no progress is made. This forum is a disaster on a Website for Autistics and Aspergians, Aspergians being completely sure of themselves, arrogantly flaunting their "knowledge" in the face of others. I am ashamed of the representatives of my own mentality. I want to be a more human person now more than ever, simply because I'm so disgusted with those I'm compared to. I find that I despise traits in others that I find in myself. It was a total mistake to meet more people like me, I was asking for frustration.

Edit: This is no temper tantrum, this is pure focused outrage at my own kind.

You were called stupid because you were incapable of even understanding, much less articulating, your position, and because you used a flimsy straw man argument. And BTW, most of the people arguing against you were atheist or agnostic. I would hardly call that a Christian Crusade. And no one went "mental," we just dismissed your argument as the nonsense it was and then you started a flame war. No where has anyone on this forum claimed that people are stupid simply for questioning religion.

its a two sided street here
everyone needs too cool down

Chrstians don't give a f**k what atheists believe!
Atheists don't give a f**k what Christians believe!

if someone really wants to know something about a religion, they should ask!
But these threads of God doesn't exist, or blah blah blah about Jesus-knowing full well they'll start something
is stupid
I have created like 2 threads in here
one about Wicca and one about Saltandor (who, I might add is a God from a novel-that I wrote!)
I think people need to l keep their beliefs to themselves, and stop shoving their opinions down every bodies throat.
Because I'll tell you the truth-nobody cares!
For anything
if they ask-go for it, go nuts, debates are good but this is just idiotic.
enough is enough already!!

To be completely idiotic and add some humor, I shall say one thing:

Amen!

ohhhh Scott, the PPR forum is notorious at this site. It's always been like this, don't let it put you off the rest of the site. Thanks for your contributions. A lot of people keep outta here. Sometimes I do too.

But talking about religion is sometimes interesting. I mean these subjects, if are controversial, it seems to be something that gains attention and the stimulus of asking the question of why.

It all comes down to the same end though, that all people hold to their own belief system, or most, me on the other hand, I think I learn from reading all the subjects here.

I must say, if I was the same Christian I was years ago, when I started to question my faith, being weak, some might say, I would probably lose my faith faster being here :P , and probably ending up depressed or something.
