Well.. I can't argue with that..

Maybe it just a co-incodence.. but I have been having the same experience as you.. with a certain individual..

Every one else on this forum seems very nice and civil.. even if we don't always agree.

Looking through previous posts there are a few other people with the same complaint..

And I have only gone back a few days.. :-0

In the last forum I posted in there was an ignore opinion.

Is there nothing like that here.. ?

If not.. maybe we could request one from the mods.. to filter out those people that we find intolerable.. because they don't have anything to contribute.. except mindless contempt.

There are always one.. or two.. in every forum.. unfortunately

I guess it all boils down to immaturity.

Because the Mods here don't seem to agree with the notion of filtering out people from threads.. although with that option it would probably make for a more peaceful forum.

Why is a peaceful discussion desirable? You can ignore people, instructions on how to do it are in the WP.net discussion forum, so you don't have to see the posts of people you don't like if you so wish. I highly disagree with the idea of being able to filter certain people out of certain threads though, just picture the mess as competing threads were created with different sets of people banned from each one so that they could snipe at each other from their respective towers. It would be much worse than the current system. Besides, if you want to be a conspiracy theorist you need to have your ideas attacked in every possible way, because that is how it is always going to be until you have solid proof one way or the other.

If someone wants to avoid a non-peaceful discussion in any of these threads, then they may do well to consider not posting at all.

Besides, when everybody agrees, then nobody is having an original thought.

that's not true at all.. being attacked and having intelligent debates are completely different things.. im starting to think that some people here don't know the difference because they've never seen it or took part in it.. I have and i know what it's like to debate without getting pissed off at someone for having a difference of opinion, because I never do get pised at people for that.. I think it's unfair to be presumed an idiot or ret*d or pathetic or of course dillusional for what I believe and then also be told that I have to take it because what I believe is 'out there' apparently.. Sorry but I dont have to take harassment or insults because I believe something that's hard for people to grasp.. this board is full of prejudiced people. when you say 'we' it seems you're referring to the ignorant bunch that insult me, well i frankly would rather not debate it with you because you have nothign real to say on the matter.. you're as stiff as a robot and unflexable in your thoughts.. yes, math suits you.

no, this is a discussion thread not a burden of proof thread.. there would be people willing to discuss if there werent so many predators around here making everyone seem inferior for having no proof for their beliefs and going on the attack.. on that note im sick of it all and only wanted a discussion, not to go on a hunt for proof..

I'm really not trying to be a dick here, but really, go back over what you just wrote, especially the part I bolded. You are in a forum full of people that tend to take everything literally and want everything to make logical sense, and you wonder why you are greeted with skeptical hostility when you come here pedaling grandiose, unprovable theories and telling everyone that they are wrong about everything.

But.. be fair.. he is the only one here who makes an effort to prove the point being made.
