Jacob, do you, though, try to understand polls or simply dismiss them with "blatant partisan manipulation"? Which desirability bias, and what historic trends?

New leadership is better with the guy who beat his wife and could be charged with a felony for, of all the ironic accusations, voter fraud?

Lukeda420 stated most of the hypocrisy that always irks me, but I also have no idea whatsoever if people seriously believe they're voting for a supposed billionaire to go against some three-lettered acronym. Heck, one would think conspiratorial minds to figure out that someone with so many connections would be part of whichever order they could think of, but apparently conspiracies stop with him since he's so suddenly angelic in their eyes. Serious mental malfunction.

the media is bending over backwards to be "fair" to trump. they present him as a viable candidate. i listened to NPR yesterday presenting trumps platform as if it were reasonable. if it were me. i would never use his name. i would just say, "the international joke."

The mainstream media outlets want a horse race. It's good for ratings when the elections look close. People are constantly tuning in for updates. If it was going to be an obvious blowout than people would tune out because it isn't as exciting. So in order to increase ratings and in term their bottom line the major news outlets are painting the picture that both candidates are equal and it's anybody's game even when it's not. Another issue is that the media doesn't want to lose access to politicians by asking them tough questions so they leave whatever is said stand even if it's a bold faced lie. In doing so they do a disservice to true journalism and leave us all worse off.

Most Electoral maps I've seen the closest Trump has been to win/tie was back in the end of July.

If course my thoughts go to Truman holding up a newspaper. (Remember Newspaper. )

Yeah Trump is still behind in the places where it matters. But your point is a good one. We'll never know how the elections will turn out until we are reading the results. I mean we could suffer a collective stroke and elect this orange racist clown to the highest office in the country. Let's just hope we can keep our heads together until this election is over.

There's something weird going on in Hillaryville.

Wow! Hillary's Mysterious Handler Pops Up on Plane During Coughing Fit. http://tiny.iavian.net/c6fs

8O WTH?! More secrets with Crooked Hillary.

It's ragweed season, lots of coughing going on if you are allergic to it.I watched the clip of her coughing,it wasn't a deep phlegmy sick cough.More like something was tickling her throat, like an allergen.

Hillary's health is definitely in question given she hides from the public;she does not have the same physical or mental stamina as Trump, she could not handle the same schedule and the FBI investigation kind of proves how serious her health issues are. Now, I think she is lying when she says she cannot remember being briefed on security protocols but if her concussion was so serious that she cannot remember as much as she claims then she is not medically fit to be president. I think she's just figurehead, hanging on out of personal ambition and thirst for power with no real principles of her own but rather just completely owned by the special interests. Leftists talk all this crap about Ronald Reagan with Alzheimers but then how can they defend Hillary? Reagan at least had an ideology, he was able to articulate in ways Hillary could only dream of. The same exact people that pulled the strings then are pulling them now, nothing really has changed.

its such a joke that this mafiosa is allowed to run for president and that our so called "free press" have been waging a full blown propaganda war on her behalf.

I can equally use search engines to drag up conspiracies, by the way:

Search engines? It's on the news now, it's a story so you can rage all you want at it. How is it a conspiracy when that was Hillary's main defense in the FBI investigation? If she's not legitimately brain damaged then she is lying criminal not fit to be president, if she is brain damaged then she is a brain damaged criminal not fit to be president. Hillary is sick in mind and body, no surprise! She didn't know the C on the documents meant classified despite labeling many messages herself as classified, how can you believe such bold faced lies?

interesting polls out of the northeast, when was the last time a Republican was competitive in these states? I think Trump has a chance of peeling couple away, win New Jersey which has 14 EC votes then I think Trump wins the election. Gary Johnson seems to be taking more from Hillary than Trump, might be enough to make these states that Hillary is expected to dominate to be up in the air. Gary Johnson is not going to be attracting many conservative voters, Johnson/Weld are more social liberals/fiscal conservatives like old school Northeastern Republicans than actually philosophically libertarian. Trump is close in recent polls out of Oregon and Wisconsin, the map I think is wide open. They talk about how weak Trump is with minorities but Hillary is weak with white voters which are the majority in this country. Hillary barely gets more of the white vote than Trump gets the Hispanic vote in polls(low 30s) and is getting dominated with independent voters which make up a third of the electorate.

You guys know I am right about this

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-el ... ns-n547801

"To wit: This list features 117 distinct policy shifts on 20 major issues, tracking only his reversals since he announced his candidacy on June 16, 2015."

Looks like Trump isn't consistent on pretty much any issue. No principles are evident here.

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/09/07/op ... lang=en-US

And hey it looks as though Trump may have bribed the Florida AG Pam Bondi over Trump U.

"Trump paid a penalty to the IRS after his foundation made an illegal contribution to Bondi’s PAC. While the Trump organization characterizes that as a bureaucratic oversight, the basic facts are that Bondi’s office had received multiple complaints from Floridians who said they were cheated by Trump University; while they were looking into it and considering whether to join a lawsuit over Trump University filed by the attorney general of New York State, Bondi called Trump and asked him for a $25,000 donation; shortly after getting the check, Bondi’s office dropped the inquiry."

Nobody cares about tax returns the government already has when there is a major pay-for-play scandal involving the former Secretary of State, that's really grasping at straws for the anti-Trump people since nobody is going to change their vote because of it.

also Julian Assange says they will start uploading Hillary emails as early as next week
