The last real warriors were JFK, Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter (served 1946 - 1953 in the navy), Nixon was a commander in the Navy. I don't know if he was in harm's way or not. Carter did not service in combat.

George W. Bush was a flier in the reserves.

Bill Clinton was a goldbrick.

So Three crap presidents "served" one really crap president pretended to serve and one prudy good president
was honest enough to avoid one of our stupidest wars.
Looks like being a vet is not a good indicator of presidential success.
