look at what these famous non muslims say about muhammad

If those personal reasons are because the ephebophiles forced you, it's not simple ephebophilia, it's rape. I'm sure you know that though.
I wasn't raped, I was sexually harassed. I got that as a prepubescent as well (from a family member, no less).
People are so abusive...

Oh dear.
salad, if you are going to argue that 9 year old girls can be considered fully matured women (and thus ready for both marriage and intercourse) according to Islam, then you really can't be surprised by the fact that a lot of people have little or no respect for Islam whatsoever.

By the way, I think the main reason people are making fun of Mohammed is because it always provokes a reaction (that idiot pastor that burned a koran).
If Islam wasn't an aggressive religion with violently non-negotiable texts and not marinated in vicious adherents, we perhaps wouldn't bother too much. You don't hear me criticising the Bhagavad Gita too much.
That too. Look at those idiots in Mali right now, destroying graves and mausoleums. Even as*hole atheists like me wouldn't pull a stunt like that.
But the responses to Mohammed cartoons or koran burnings are priceless, it works every time. If people would just ignore it, maybe there would not be so much reason to do it (and I personally don't burn books, but I think people should definatively have the right to do that).
Don't be a hypocrite. Do you know how enraged Americans become when people burn their flag?? There you go.

Here, a couple of photos for you from a true-blue British nationalist:
Sorry. That was just a test shot.
And another one.
See? My flag gets burnt - sometimes in the UK by violent, hate-filled Islamist headjobs or by violent, hate-filled Irish republicans - quite often. Free speech, innit.

Paedophiles might be quite keen on the religion though. Perhaps they would be a better audience for salad?

ARE YOU SERIOUS??? THROUGHOUT HISTORY 9 YEAR OLDS WERE CONSIDERED ADULTS. GO LOOK IT UP. WAIT, WHY LOOK IT UP WHEN I GAVE SELF EXPLANATORY ARGUMENT REBUTTLING AND DEBUNKING ALL YOUR MISCONCEPTIONS. Please, read my article which I found online arefully, rather than reading 2 sentences then promptly rushing to the criticism. Second time you didn't read everyrhing I wrote. Honestly if you actually read the whole thing carefully it should make clear that his marriage to Asha wasn't rape in any way shape or form.

Well that's wrong of them.

Not in European history. At the time of Mohammed, the lands that are now known as France, Belgium, Netherlands and a bit of Germany were ruled by what we Europeans now consider a bunch of barberic brutes called the Merovingian Kings. They were a bad lot, and some of them married very young princesses, but the marriage wasn't consumated until these girls were at least 14 years old. Until that time, the girl was chapperoned. That was the Lex Francorum, law of the Franks which they had copied from the Romans for the most part. (So Romans also didn't consider a 9 year old girl an adult).

The age of consent has often been low or very low compared to today's standards (and in a few shameful recent instances, like in 19th-century Delaware it was even lower than the Islamic age of consent - sex with 7-year-olds was legal there! - a lot of states in 19th century U.S. had very low ages of consent) but information on European ages of consent in the distant past seems to be hard to find.
The age of consent was set at 12 in England during the 13th century.

First of all. Are you auditioning to be this guy?

Second, as for your copy-paste of content from islamgreatreligion.wordpress.com (the address might suggest a *mild* bias, btw), you seem to forget that this is not the Byzantine Empire or the Arabian Peninsula 1,400 years ago. This is a 2013, a time where a great many of the countries of the world take pride in upholding human rights and having abandoned atrocities of the past, whether these atrocities were carried out for religious, political, racial, economic or other reasons.
Third, the problem is (the way I see it, but see below) that you explicitly endorse child marriage on the basis of Islam, which is exactly what I quoted you for. And in fact, you even provided more evidence to this on the site you mentioned:
salad wrote:
Furthermore as to the Holy Prophet’s marriage with Sayyidah Aisha, something people will notice is that the completion of the marriage was done when Sayyidah Aisha was 9 years old, not when she was 6, and there is a reason for that. The reason why this happened is because Sayyidah Aisha had been through puberty by the age of 9, and in Islam a female who under-goes puberty is considered a lady and is fit for marriage.
No qualification. No "taken out of context". So I fail to see the misconception (or the rebutting and debunking, for that matter).
But if you feel that I am misrepresenting your beliefs, salad, then perhaps you could educate me by answering a simple question.
Do you think that it is OK for Muslim men to marry and have intercourse with 9 year old girls?

Does he also think that it's OK for Muslim men to have slave girls, like the followers of dear old Mo?
(You probably know where this one is going, GGPViper. Yes, it's a new one. The fifth or sixth one I've heard of.)
This may be rather disturbing but this is what still goes on today!

OK i will admit i spam the cap locks to grab attention, not insult but grab attenmtion. however about your question in islam if a female is physically and mentally able to get married then she's considered a woman, not a girl. Aisha was considered a woman, when you marry a girl who isn';t grown up yet or mature then that's plain sick and pedophilia, but Aisha was mature and a developed woman. in fact, some scholars actually say that she was 14-15 when she got married. the man who narrateed that aisha was 9 was said to have had a bad memory during his old age and he narrated the hadith when he was old. 9, 10, 15, as long as she was mature and a developed woman then age doesn't matter, people matured way faster back then, so no, there is nothing wrong in islam with marrying anyone no matter how old as long as they are mature enough and are grown up. BTW I literally answered every question you have in that website you're just being bias and pin pointing every insignificant detail to depict Muhammad (Peace Be upon him) as a pedophile which he wasn't. maybe these will answer your questions better than i, for i am not the most informed regarding this topic i will admit, but luckily these people are:
http://www.answering-christianity.com/aisha.htm
http://www.answering-christianity.com/m ... rriage.htm
Look, i dont have all the time to paste every single detail in my prophet's defense, but the facts are clear that he wasn't a pedophile. ive found so many detailed articles debunking every possible myth regarding this, so much that i haven't even memorized all the arguments which is why i posted the links to several websites. but you can't force a horse to drink, and i can't force you to believe that he wasn't a pedophile. in the end, i did my part and provided very detailed links answering all the misconceptions regarding this topic. if you read with an open mind and take into consideration everything they said rather than skim and find little details to criticise, then it won't help. there are msny wisdoms behind the prophets marriage to aisha, which is listed here:
http://www.ummah.com/forum/showthread.p ... -Aisha(r-a)-the-mother-of-all-believers
on top of their being nothing wrong with his marriage to aisha, he still didnt marry her for lust. and yes, in america girls married when they were 9, same as in england. who are you to try to act as a God and distinguish between right and wrong, how hypocritical is that "my modern culture says so and so is wrong thus it's wrong" mentality is pure junk. the only reason why it's considered wrong now is due to many factors, a few ill name:
1. girls are no where near mature at 9 like they were back then
2. maturity dropped and because the age for marriage slowly rose due to the declination of maturity people find it eccentric and weird for such a thing.
3. people lived shorter lives in some areas thus they married young.
etc. if you were alive back then your perception and perspective on such a topic would be way different, times have changed, and so have many of the factors regarding this topic. i dont feel like arguing, just read the website. i wont argue any more about this. if you have a question PM me, but im wasting time going back and worth when i could simply put the argument to everything you said in these websites up above and spare the unnecessary altercation. you have to be open minded and think unbiased when carefully reading these arguments because we already know that you know that he married aisha at a young age, but you have to be flexible and think from the perspective of someone alive hundreds of years ago. no it wasn't wrong. you dont define wrong or right. i cant change your mind by a website, only if you are open minded and flexible will reading these arguments change you perspective on this. the facts are the same, but it's your view on the fact that needs to adjust. read the above websites
