It'd only be excessive force if Brown was a female or physically disabled male, where it'd be expected for the officer to be able to overpower the suspect.

Ahh, so male = requiring lethal force. F***ing sexism. I'm a "healthy male" that by no means would be able to take on the weakest cop. Not that it was really known that there was an intent to kill.

It's because a normal male has the ability to overpower and kill another male with fisticuffs. One on one is never safe.

It just takes one decent punch to KO or kill someone, and all physically able men are capable of that.

Brown showed intent to kill when going for the pistol in the car and physically assaulting him. It can be assumed with a high level of confidence that when he charged outside, refusing to comply with orders, then the intent to kill would still be there (Wilson did draw down on Brown outside when ordering him to comply).

The grand jury found that there is insufficient evidence to bring charges against Officer Wilson.

It's over. Just accept it and move on.

Ok, fine, even with the intent to kill. Why are females unable to make a decent punch? And why are all "physically able" men capable of that?
I've never met another male weaker than me and I know plenty of females capable of beating me at arm wrestling and I have even been beaten to the ground by females before. Why should females be given special dispensation under the law just for being female?

This is speaking generally. Women have little upper body strength in comparison to men.

Of course, there's women stronger than men, and each case would need to be taken in context.

In this case, no common woman could reasonably overpower Wilson. Whereas a common man possibly could.
