If we are ever going in Space it has to be soon. We need to cut back the war spending, and join with Russia to develop space. Russia has the best lift system, and can deliver hundreds/thousands of tons of material for constructing a real space ship in orbit. Catching one $5 Trillion in Palatinate's Asteroid would pay for it, there are hundreds of them.
Mining asteroids produces a lot of material to build more ships. We need something big to orbit the Earth, Moon, Mars, transport between them, with shielding, and air. Once built, new uses will be found.
Conservative is doing what has worked before, and it has raised the level of technology and the health, education and welfare of the people.
