Preach. I would have loved to continue with my university education and become a scientist like I planned when I was a child, but it was not and is still not financially possible for me to do so. Must be nice to have everything in life handed to you--then again, it seems to make people who do get everything handed to them turn into self-righteous insensitive jackasses, and I wouldn't want to give up my ability to understand the majority of other people who haven't had everything handed to them in life (because those are the large majority of people out there.)

There are two ways one can take the old "life isn't fair" adage: as a survival tactic, or to pretend that the world somehow is based largely/entirely on individual agency. As the former, it's very useful; as the latter, it's little more than posturing. Even the purest laissez-faire capitalism frees individuals from much of the responsibility involved in manufacturing their own resources.

However, that's not what I said.

I said SJW (people with those degrees) end up in low wage work.

Liberal Arts/Sociology are listed as one of the worst degrees to get.

They can call it anti-intellectual but there isn't anything intellectual about communism, it's never the math or physics majors that cause problems.

it's a crime that they've literally collared these foolish children into hundreds of thousands of dollars for degrees that will get them no jobs and indoctrinates them against their own country and culture.

Those people paid out of pocket, they weren't given loans from applications their parents filled out that are impossible to discharge in perpetuity. Trump isn't responsible for them succeeding or failing at real estate which is highly dependent on capital to begin with, Trump is not responsible for the housing market collapsing. I find it hilarious and telling that you consider charging up to 34,000 dollars for falsely advertised useless seminars is just A.O.K.

Again if this was a school about real estate than it should have been able to advise it's students about capitals and market forces. Also if Trump and his "hand picked" (lie) professors should have been able to see the crash coming and advise their students accordingly. So either Trump and his "school" were grossly incompetent or it was a scam and he didn't care if anybody who attended succeeded or failed. Either way it's not good.

That's what the colleges argue.

They argue education has value all itself.

In 2011, Northwestern University student graduates with 200k in debt with 4 year Sociology degree.

Not exactly, they still argue (correctly, I might add) that college graduates earn more than non-graduates.

Unemployment rates among college graduates is anywhere from 25% to 50% of the unemployment of those who only graduated from high school. People with "some college" don't fare much better than the high school graduates. When overall unemployment was 10%, the college graduate rate was maybe 2-3%.

The gap has now closed somewhat--but there's still a considerable gap between the two educational levels.

This is from the US Census Bureau. Look it up.
