We aren't allowed to leave the EU. May is a corrupted puppet with dirty ties through her husband. She's always been a remainer. She put a remainer civil servant behind David Davis's back to collude with the EU to arrange this remain deal that is even worse than staying in. The EU was supposedly offering a Canada plus deal up until last March. We could have used the Norway Option as a transition period. We could leave without a deal and unilaterally agree to adhere to EU regulations for 2 years. She's intentionally running the clock down so they accept her remain deal or extend article 50. Her £14 million to a shipping company with no ships was a publicity stunt against leaving without a deal.

1 day away from MV2 and there are all sorts of rumours flying around about her possibly amending it, changing the wording to make it meaningless rather than meaningful, or have people vote on a deal that is not even the agreed deal, just anything she can put in front of Parliament that she thinks would get a majority so that she doesn't lose again.

Ministers currently barred from talking to the media, she has called an emergency meeting, she is putting out a statement later today.

sounds like chaos.

Oh and Esther McVey acting like the absolute disgrace today we have come to expect from her. She is now pushing those Lisbon Treaty conspiracy lies about how the UK has to legally swap from using Sterling to the Euro next year.

MV2 goes ahead tonight with some amended wording around the backstop which was 'won' last night.

The Attorney General confirms that the wording doesn't legally change the UK's backstop position. ERG & DUP therefore confirm they cannot support it.

Most suggestions are that she will then lose the vote again tonight and we are onto the no deal vote tomorrow and the A50 extesion vote on Thursday.

May loses by 149.

No deal vote tomorrow. Confirmed no whip for the Tories on that one.

We are held hostage by the EU and our government.

Various amendments being talked of right now. Whether they are submitted (and selected) is another

Dromey-Spelman sounds like it could be a big one.

The Malthouse one may be back from the dead again too

Amazing stuff. The whole of the UK government spends over two years preparing for this moment and they still can't do it.

I wouldn't call what they've been doing for the last two years "preparing".

As someone who loves the mechanics of Parliament and Parliamentary procedure, that last night was just stunning. I think when they come to write the history books on Brexit last night will have more than a few pages written about it.

Spelman wanting her amendment pulled, the speaker refusing it, then her amendment passed by just 4! Then May ends up voting for no deal brexit, against her own motion, and the confirmation that she lost control of her own party as a number of high ranking MP's voted against her or abstained, 4 Cabinet members even abstained for goodness sake!

One Conservative Party whip went against the whip which he himself was in charge of enforcing, for a Motion that the Prime Minister has tabled, and whipped her party to back, which the Prime Minister then voted against herself in a last minute panic where she was telling MP's not to back but not all got the message and many just seemingly had enough of her. And the whip keeps his job. We are through the looking glass here.

As nights of high drama go in the Commons that was right up there! :D

Would be no surprise at all to see the Meaningful Vote come back again next week (if the Speaker allows is) looking exactly the same as this week. Some ERG members will now be wavering after the defeat for the no deal vote so her numbers will be better, could even be enough to get it through maybe.

It's like she is madly waving a gun at Parliament and screaming 'you'll f***ing brexit whether you like it or not!'

Might even still be time for MV4 at this rate!

Amendments tabled so far today:

A. Plaid Cymru amendment
This amendment, signed by Plaid’s four MPs, calls for a delay to Brexit until 2021, and a second referendum at the end of this.

B. Ruling out a second referendum
Signed by more than 100 MPs, mainly Conservative but also Labour’s Caroline Flint and Gareth Snell, this states that “the result of the 2016 EU referendum should be respected and that a second EU referendum would be divisive and expensive, and therefore should not take place”.

C. Revoke article 50
Put forward by the SNP’s Angus Brendan MacNeil and Tory remainer Ken Clarke, and signed by about 30 other MPs, this calls for the entire Brexit process to be cancelled.

D. Lib Dem second referendum plan
Tabled by the the Lib Dems’ 11 MPs, this also calls for a Brexit delay and a second referendum.

E. Labour amendment
Led by Jeremy Corbyn, this notes the rejection by parliament of May’s Brexit plan, and of no deal, and says the government should “provide parliamentary time for this house to find a majority for a different approach”.

G. The Chope amendment
Tabled by Conservative Brexiter and regular malcontent Christopher Chope – and signed only by him – it says Brexit should be delayed for two months “for the specific purpose of replacing the UK negotiating team”.

F. SNP/Plaid second referendum plan
Yet another extension/second referendum amendment, this also calls for remain to be an option in the referendum, and for the revocation of article 50 to be possible in the interim.

H. Cross-party request for second referendum
Tabled by ex-Tory Sarah Wollaston, now of the Independent Group, and signed by around 30 MPs, this seeks a delay for a new referendum, which would have remain as an option. Could be selected by Bercow.
