Are there any post coup attempt EX-trump supporters here?
There's an amazing lack of self-awareness in your post.
Yes, you can assume that everyone exhibits deep-seated subconscious political bias, except you.
But in order to do so, you also have to accept that it's equally likely you are the one exhibiting deep-seated subconscious political bias, and actually everybody else is telling the truth.
And then there's the question of which is more likely, given the circumstances?
The "It's not faaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" whinging has been going on for months now. Trump's legal team have been to Court on numerous occasions and got nowhere, due to lack of evidence. Yet still it persists. Everything Trump is doing is designed to stir up trouble and uncertainty, and undermine the democratic process. Right is wrong, truth is lie, up is down, black is white. Deflection tactics, smoke and mirrors, divide and conquer. If Trump really believed half the stuff he's spouting now, how come it wasn't all investigated and put to bed over the last 4 years, rather than suddenly becoming a problem now he's lost?
The conspiracy theory attitude that any real evidence could and should be automatically dismissed because "that's what THEY want you to think" clearly has no resolution, which is why it's political gold dust. But if we're going to get that sceptical, it needs to be applied with equal dedication to what Trump is saying too. What does HE want you to think? Which lines of thought just happen to benefit him the most? Is he really saving the American people from some form of Democrat elite - itself a contradiction, as elitists don't generally favour giving more of their earnings away in taxes, and if they do it's a mystery why that might be a bad thing. What does putting your faith in Trump - himself a far greater supporter of the top 5% earners in America at everyone else's expense, policy-wise - actually buy you? More egotism, more bullying and blame, more hatred and bile. What substance is there, beneath all the spin? All he's really good at is stirring people up so he can wrong-foot them. His whole Presidency has basically been a Swiss Toni style, shiny suited knob-waving competition. That's all he does.

Geez Redd Relax. You guys have been doing the Russian conspiracy Fantasy for 4 Years. The election was blatantly stolen. The Democrats didn't even try to cover it up. The false flag riot and theatric impeachment was just the Democrats doing what they love most: Revenge.
Looks like we found another Trump supporter here. Let's see more I can spot here. Play ISpy, who ever can spot the most wins and the prize is bragging about how many you found. Go.

Again, you are blinded by your own inherent bias. Trump's actions over the last 4 years have been all about revenge against Obama, who he clearly has a personal vendetta against. That's become very obvious in the last month or so with the Presidential pardons and the sale of oil rights in Alaska. It's all about hurting future Democrat chances, no matter what the cost. Small people are just inconsequential in all that. Trump has constantly claimed to be a hero for the working classes while selling them out to the rich. I ask you again, what's better about Trump actually delivering his policies, compared to Biden? Even if we assume for a moment they're both largely in the pockets of big business, who does the most for median America despite those vested interests?
You seem very keen to throw assumptions around. Who do you mean by "you guys", for starters? That's a classic bit of popularist absolutism btw, if you're not with the authoritarian programme you're automatically against it, and thus against The People and The Nation. Errr, no. I'm not a Democrat or a Republican, despite your pigeon-holing, but I am interested in which option does the least damage. And that isn't Trump. I am pro- ordinary people, and anti- extremism, because it never ends well. History is on my side there. By definition that means I'm also against scare-mongering, lying, petulant, dangerous, narcissistic orange toddlers willing to follow a deranged personal agenda by gambling with the lives of a whole nation.
Trump is a self-obsessed void with a penchant for trophy wives, porn stars and tasteless status symbols, and also a failed businessman with a huge mountain of debt. He's been massively successful politically because he gives a green light to similar a**holes all across the U.S. to do exactly the same as he has done. Blame the Mexicans, greed is good, grab 'em by the p****. The guy is a walking advert for shock-jock attention seeking. That makes him a huge security liability, because he's so arrogant he's weak, before we even move onto how he actually acts. Psychopaths and narcissists are at their most dangerous when forced to face up to the reality, they can never be as good as they think they are, and indeed their own delusions and lack of empathy and rational thinking guarantee it. So now we are seeing the post-truth denial meltdown in full effect. He's so scared of his own shadow (or the portrait in the attic) that he'd rather derail the whole democratic process than admit he lost.
Seems you might be suffering from some of that denial, too?

I'm mostly worried for my parents - they were and still are ardent Trump supporters and they're horrified to see that some of the Republicans who they had respect for previously have come out against him or even voted in favor of his impeachment. What I heard them suggest on the phone with other like-minded relatives is that these Republicans in particular probably had deep-state ties.
It's going to be interesting now to see the Republican party have as many divergent tribes and infighting potentially as the Democratic party does.

Does that mean posts in support of those pedalling extreme hate speech are perfectly ok, whereas posts pointing out that those pedalling extreme hate speech are pedalling extreme hate speech, are unacceptable?
We seem to be operating in some form of US politics snow globe, if so.

It's okay to point out extreme hate speech by non-WP-members.
Extreme hate speech by WP-members should always be reported.
It's okay to attack public figures in PPR.
It's not okay to attack another member(s) based on their political alignment.
