Why celebs even risk their career and use social media to express controversial ideas..... she's not smart at all.

Trying to make anti racists out to be racist seems to be a gotcha to me. You do realize they do want people to be anti racist and anti racism means calling it out when you see it, not normalize racism, not be all silent about it when it happens.


What some people do is deliberately/unintentionally misrepresent someone else's position.
That happens a lot, 'in these here parts, pardner'.

'Dirty tactics' seem to be embraced by some and is something commentators, here in Australia, often point out.
Here in Australia, the 'race card' is very tattered through continual usage.

I think most people see through this ploy, these days.
I think it embarrassing when someone tries to use it in these more enlightened time.

It is a mystery, yes, especially when you consider so many misrepresent what someone has said.

Then there is the groupthink pile-on, where rationality is trampled into the mud, but most don't care because it is the emotional 'fix' they want.

'Sanctimony, self-righteousness and virtue-signalling' are very addictive, for some.

You're all misusing the word. What these people are is fired, thanks to the last president everyone has confused real life with reality TV. No, we're not obsessed with keeping the GOP down, we're simply free not to let them be awful.

Playing the political victim on Twitter when you're claiming to be all kinds of patriotic about a free country is asinine BS & everyone knows it. This is all happening when other people are literally being oppressed by riot police.

I cancelled my Disney Plus subscription when I finished season 2 of the Mandalorian. Did other people not?

I'm unemployed and in general why pay for a subscription when I'm not using it. Already have Netflix and Hulu. I'll renew when the new Star Wars shows come out.
