Seems to be a paraphrase of a quote, although I'm not sure he intended it this way.

Quote:
"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect..."

-Frank Wilhoit

Typical the propaganda money-globalist CNN who shows (to fool) only 1 side of the story.

I would like to point out that commmunism was just as guilty of infrastructure shortages, poor medical care and local food shortages.
I understand we need to point out shortcomings of capitalism but claiming communism is better - saying it from a place that experienced both - is ridiculous.

I think this needs to be understood as a rebuttal to The Black Book of Communism and other similar propaganda and involves similar levels of overstating, ignoring nuance, etc.

I would rather live a life of freedom, under democratic rule, even if it meant or will mean, in the future, more deaths than under communist authoritarian rule.

Most people do want freedom, clearly, since capitalism hasn't been defeated yet - no-one wants to destroy or has the spirit to take away their own freedom.

Even so called communists question whether they want to put a gun to someone's head to enable authoritarianism. Which is why they lose wars.

I'm wondering if this photo:

ends up in future history books... and weather future kids will recognize how strange it looks for what it is.

Predatory capitalism is probably just as evil as full, authoritarian communism, from my perspective & in my opinion.

I long for the days of clean capitalism and fair capitalism, which probably disappeared entirely by the 1980's, after the end of world war two.

We have been on an increasingly accelerated trjaectory towards predatory capitalism since the 1980's in Britain.

All capitalism is predatory capitalism, capitalism has been plenty predatory for the entire time it has existed because that's it's very nature. That trajectory accelerated because even supposedly "left wing" parties bought into the idea that "pro-market" or "pro-business" policies (aka neoliberal) are always the solution to economic concerns.

If you start undoing reforms intended on addressing failures of capitalism you'll end up seeing those failures re-emerge. This will play out as you describe, but the problem is structural and that's why minor reforms are unlikely to achieve their desired goals.

The game seems to be to offer inadequate reform, see it fail and then undo it and insist that's proof reform can't work so we need to just let the invisible hand fix things.
