What.... And you belief that....
What a terrible(?) thing to say or belief and I'm very much against what you're impliing,
Why not?, I think it does have some sense, I mean, for any action one makes there will be always a consequence, natural or imposed by law, if the consequence of any action is unpleasent then you would avoid doing that action. I can say that there are some people that the only reason for not killing is to avoid imprisonment and conviction, otherwise they could feel free to do so without having that consequence, even though some still do despite that.
This is not an argument against anarchism though, as it does have laws, however the problem lies on how to enforce them.

Oh, I agree.

well, it depends what you mean or how you define fear, and how it would be the level of it, in the case of this thread, I don't know exactly what AG meant with 'society run by fear'.
Anyway, Christianity does provide some degree of fear, being part of the dogma, doesn't it? I mean, the consequences of chosing the 'evil path' are frightening.

well, people aren't Gods.. if God wishes to instill fear then he is God and can do that.
Does your pet cat have the right to instill fear in you?.. no.. he would be on the streets

That is a good point. Religion is often used as a controlling force in government. Don't blame Jesus for what Christians believe and what Roman Catholicism tells us is dogma. The Gnostic Scriptures are very enlightening.
Anarchy could work if people led their own lives according to their greatest and highest good. It's unfortunate that so many people are brainwashed by religion and government and even pop culture. It's wonderful that we are all different and if we accepted our differences and the differences in others the world would be a much nicer place.
Cults try to create Utopian societies by forcing everyone to believe the same thing. A healthy society can live in peace if we embrace our differences and not judge. We all have our own flaws and problems that we need to address. It would help if we could be more patient and try to see the best in one another.
New thought....
Animals can be trained by fear. This is done to elephants in a circus. I think it's cruel but it works. But is that sort of thing right?
Check out this video about the psychology of fear and controlling human behavior.

You're the one who is taking a literal interpretation of the word, not me.
Proselytisers are quite annoying too, especially considering they are going against the teachings of The Bible by trying to force and scaremonger their beliefs into people. Like the Most Hated Family in America. 90%, if not more, of what they believe goes against everything Jesus stood for.

Nah, but I started programming Common Lisp on my own when I was in middle school, which is a tad unusual.
Spiteful people tend to like to piss at me and say I can't do this thing or that thing but it so happens one of my hobbies is to meet and then greatly exceed their low expectations
So I really don't give a flying fuck what you think about my level of maturity, or anything else. That tends to be the last refuge of people who lose arguments to me: whining about my character and not whether I were right.
Anyway, one point is essential to me: if you really know more than me, as you say, this is unlikely to be true in the next year or so. I learn quickly. If I do know more than you, which is altogether likely, I'm not going to rest on my laurels anyway and leave you further in the dust.
Incidentally I just woke up ... I was a little groggy and I have to head out to the library. You sure fixed that, thx
Plenty of NT's know how to use the word 'proof' correctly; in fact, I learned "proof is for alcohol, mathematics and law" from an NT. No excuses

It looks like American Culture is becoming one huge cult. I see less tolerance and more expectations of people to think a certain way to be considered normal. It is going so far that the government passed a bill that prohibits us from even talking about anarchy. I mentioned H.R. 1955 earlier. Also, who is trying to kill those who oppose their vision now?

It's embarrassing to see that you don't get it. Read the posts and think before you call other people baffoons.
Are you trying to demonstrate that you need a nanny? If you are saying that people are unable conduct themselves properly and therefore anarchy can never work, then your point is taken. However, if individuals strive to act according to their conscience, maybe not all is lost.
What is your opinion on that?
