The National Guard is taking orders from an elected civilian government.

This reminds me of a story my Pa told me once when him and his friends were in the library - this old lady was in there and every time one of them would clear their throat, she would have a huge coughing fit. I'm laughing , but that would have been awful.

Maybe I should Tweet that story to Trump - might give him some ideas.

You know, the vitriol that passes for opinion here, as well as on Facebook and Quora has pretty much made up my mind: I can not, in good conscience vote for ANY of the presidential candidates. To quote Martin Luther, when he appeared before the Diet at Worm, when the Holy Roman Catholic Church demanded that he recant: "To go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand. I can do nothing else. God help me."

I am also of the opinion that this country has yet to recover from the aftermath of the Watergate Scandal, as well as the impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton. Don't believe me? Take a look at the impeachment of Andrew Johnson. While he was exonerated by Congress, this country had a string of incompetent, immoral, ineffective presidents until Theodore Roosevelt became president. Remember, Disraeli supposedly made the comment "People who fail to study history are DOOMED to repeat it."

Yowzer! Look who Trump is inviting to the debate on Monday - and she's going to show up.
