It seems the Barak Hussein Obama has done one thing that meets with popularity. However, let's do like the leftmedia did for Bush and ignore anything Barak has done right and focus on only what he's done wrong? Come on? Equal Opportunity whining anyone? There ought to be no double standard for Democrats to benefit from.
Every media outlet I know—including explicitly left-wing ones—regularly slam Obama. The right-wing, however, would never dare to criticize a Republican President.
It took them a year before doing so though. Prior to realizing that a moron was hired they were fawning over him and declaring his exploits of installing this or that in the White House and how he's so bloody wonderful for just existing.
I suggest you look up "moron" in the dictionary. Even if Obama is a bad President, that doesn't make him a moron (morons tend not to get jobs a law professors).
As for you claim about the leftwing media taking a year to slam Obama - that's BS, pure and simple. Democracy Now! and The Real News were running critical pieces on Obama before he was even elected, as for the more "mainstream" progressive media, Olbermann and Rachel Maddow repeatedly criticized Obama in his first year over his governance style and tactics when it came to the healthcare bill.

Would any of the prime-time Fox anchors hint at primary challenges against Bush not even a year into his term?

Before 9/11 which made Bush a hero his capabilities were quite well evaluated. A common poster at the time was a photo shopped photo of G.W.Bush carrying a volume clearly entitled "The Presidency for Dummies".
