Irony

Dddhhyeah, from someone who has trouble stringing a sentence together and quite often totally misses the point at hand, like now? Just not getting caught up in a social trend isn't a sign of a low IQ. People puppets is a sign of it though, people who follow these trends. Cybercondriacs.

How am I missing the point?

It's funny you accuse me of missing the point actually, considering how much you keep going on about the gay-only forum, despite the fact that you (a presumably straight guy?) have posted in therre plenty yourself

Lol, I don't care about being able to post there, but obviously some people don't want certain people posting there. I'm saying there shouldn't be a forum at all. Trans issues? If a guy thinks he's a girl, she can post in the women's discussion. If someone wants to talk about themselves feeling they aren't the same sex as they were born as, they could start a thread. If someone is gay, and they want to be equal, they can just use the same threads as everyone else, if its a seperate topic that wouldn't apply to straight people, there are other forums that could be appropriate.

Shall we get rid of all the age/gender specific forums then? They seem to serve a purpose and the people who post in them appear to think so, so I still don't get what the problem is. If you don't like it, just stay out of it

(That from the first post in this thread.)

This isn't an issue of rights. They don't have any more rights than others. They simply have a gathering place. There's no need for a heterosexual aspie gathering space. "We need one because they have one" isn't a good argument.

That wasn't my argument, I said they shouldn't have one at all.

yet, you clearly state:

so it obviously IS your argument.

it got shut own because no sod used it.
the rest of the site is, presumably, written from a guys POV, thus a women's forum would be needed.
but you can't have one "just cos they have one" as your one is the rest of the site.

any why shouldn't "they" have one at all, as you say?

I'm talking about the GLBT issue. And so was you. But yes, thats my opinion on the men's/women's forums. Just due to the simple fact, that if there was a men's only forum, but not a women's, a lot of women on here would be spitting feathers, asking where there forum is. And how sexist the site is.

@Murphycop. If you choose to spend your life feeling jealous and angry about any minority groups getting something that you don't get, or even need, then you are setting yourself up for a life full of anger and jealousy.

Also, spare a thought for those poor, unfortunate NTs. They don't have a NT forum. Is it really fair that we have a forum for AS, while they don't have a NT equivelant? By your logic, is this not a case of a minority group having extra rights?

Should you not stop using this forum on a point of principle? After everything you have said, how can you justify posting on a site that clearly exists to give extra help to a minority group? Is your continued posting on this site not an example of hypocrisy?

Why do aspies deserve "special treatment" but you would deny that opportunity to women or gays?

You said: "Any chance of a straight and non transexual forum?". Just because it's the subject heading and not the body does not make it any less your words.

Nor did you in any way indicate early in the thread (including that first post) that you were, as you claim now, saying that GLBTs shouldn't have a forum.

Is it just a coincidence that people who disagree with me, seem to have a common lack of understanding? I'm angry, not jealous.

Thats a totally different argument. Could you see there being a GBLT forum on myspace? This is meant to be a site for aspies etc, or family members of someone on the spectrum. Maybe other people would come here to learn about the spectrum. Any other reasons i'm not really sure why they'd be here. So that answers your silly question too.

You have to remember there's proof of autism too. If you read the name of the site- wrongplanet, you might be able to work out that is for people who are different, most of us here often state how different we are. People who are gay or transexuals want equality, for being just the same as everyone else. For them to then want special and exclusive treatment, and to want a label is hugely hypocritical. So what are you trying to say with your comparisons, that being gay or transexual is a syndrome?

Maybe I used the wrong heading then, cause its easy for people to get confused. My mistake. I was just making a point.

I didn't say otherwise. And I think i've said in other threads that they shouldn't have a forum.

so its ok for one group to have a subforum, but not if you dont like them?

and what do you mean by "You have to remember there's proof of autism too"?

I've explained these questions already.

To the others. This is the reason the thread is still ongoing, having to repeatedly explain things to halfwits. Emlion, stick to the threads you know.

Oh my god, blonde moment. I don't want the damn forum, or the one in question. You obviously haven't read any of the thread, so why even worry that it is still going on. I'm just saying you're happy to drag out threads that keep you amused, so there's no reason this thread can't be continued, although yes, it has more pages than it should, due to people who probably need things shown to them in pictures so they can understand.
