I am totally underwhelmed by that.

Are they at least offering to do your laundry, or something useful?

From this day forth, I swear I won't ever pray for you, even if an out of control vehicle is speeding your way.
By the way, I like your new avatar.

You have nothing to appologize for. In your post with "tough language" you have shown committment to help Jews out. To this they should be greatful. But I guess they have grudge against Christians and thats why they would twist whatever Christians say or do into something bad that they are supposed to appologize for. If you said the same things without describing yourself as a Christian perhaps they would have been more greatful; but then again who knows .... they also have negative attitude towards non-Jews in general.

The folks in German who stood idle (not even taking a part in the attacks on Jews) were all Goyim. Very few of them were righteous. Jews cannot rely on the good will and righteousness of gentiles. It is erratic and seldom. I am perfectly willing to live in peace with my Gentile neighbors, but I do not rely on them for anything important. I would rather break bread with a decent pagan who has respect for life and property than a sanctimonious Christian who is praying for me.

I'm going to take that as meaning you'd rather someone be willing to stand up for your rights because it is the right thing to do rather than go off to the side and claim they pray for you.

I can assure you, many American Christians would not sit by and let someone try to exterminate the Jewish People, they would come to your aid and/or demand the that our military come to your aid (would probably end up with Articles of Impeachment against this current President to get our military involved though).

Believed when seen. I operate in the tradition of Thomas, the only Apostle who retained the good sense he was born with. Show me The Wounds and maybe I will believe.

You forget Jesus showed up and showed said Apostile those wounds...

Anyways, believe it or not there are people out there that are willing to stand up for Jewish people, and believe it or not I've been banned from forums for among other things sticking up for Jewish people and calling people out on anti-Israel smear campaigns.

If people started to go after Jewish people like what happened in Nazi Germany, they would already be after me as well for being a sympathizer. ruveyn, there are people out there that will step up. Despite how much pandabear has maligned him along with myself, my observations give me cause to believe Glenn Beck is one of those that would stand up for Jewish People.

You need to recognize there are a lot of hateful people out there, but you need to also understand there are people out there you can count on as friends.

Na, na, you miss the point. Those of us who ARE with the Twin get it. Thomas was not going to buy it till HE saw. But Thomas seeing it does nothing to satisfy ruveyn's demand - or mine - for actual evidence shown to US.

He has to be convinced by what he has seen. Understand and rspect it, too many people buy into thre last guru they saw oin TV.

Hang on there! German Protestants are not the same as 'murican Protestants. While there has been social anti-semitism in the U.S. ever since and even before it was founded there is very little evidence of murderous anti-semitism out side some smallish extremist groups like the Militias and the KKK. We never, ever had a government sponsored Pogrom in the U.S. (thank God!). Jews have had to put up with country club bigotry and such like but nothing like Krystallnacht. I do not expect to find extremes of anti-Jewish violence from American Christians. Even when I was a kid, I had run-ins with bigots who disliked Jews (and even fights) but I never saw that is the usual thing. Most of the Christian bigots were very subtle and covert with their bigotry. I had very little physical conflict with the local Jew-haters.

Since the time of Pope John the 23 (who was a mensch, by the way) I have noticed much less anti-Jewish bigotry from the younger Catholics educated in the parochial schools.

Jew hatred has been much worse in Europe than it ever was in North America.

Seriously, you're a moron. Your implications that Conservatives = Anti-Semites is extremely bigotted (though something I'd expect a left wing radical like yourself to say).

My dislike of you is entirely due to your behavior: primarily your slanderous accusations (which your ancestors would probably be appalled).

Maybe I should start calling you a racist, because I happen to be part Native American?

We have had government sponsored Pogroms against our American Indian population.

Also, Europe doesn't have the huge Black population that we do. Compared to Blacks, American Jews have been invisible. In Europe, Jews probably stuck out more. In the USA, Black Americans may have borne the brunt of what Europeans traditionally directed at Jews.

The Ku Klux Klan used to be anti-Catholic, but now permits Catholics to join. Probably they will eventually admit Jews as well.

I'm surprised the KKK is even talked about anymore, their organization is largely gone and they have been desperate for new members for quite a while.

So in other words you are saying that if people didn't do "the right thing" when they should have, they should never do it at all. The "deadline" for doing the right thing was 1945. You are mad at Christians they haven't done it by that deadline. And now you want to perpetually punish them by NEVER accepting their desire to do the right hting agian. In fact if they show any desire you are angry at them when they do.

I understand that 1945 is not just "deadline". Jews lost 6 million people because of it. But still, no one can undo the past. People CAN change the future. So I wish they could be thanked for doing what they CAN do instead of being shunned because of the past that they can not change.

Again, what can Christians POSSIBLY do to fulfill your criteria. There is no holocaust right now. So ... what can they do? Go back on time mashine? Unfortuantely this is not possible. Thats why I wish people could be forgiven for the past and judged based on the PRESENT.

Besides, based on what you wrote in the previous response, you were "angry" at Christians for wanting to help you. And now you are saying yes you do want them to help you, you just don't believe that they mean it. Now if it is as simple as not believeing because you haven't seen YET (! !!), then why is it becoming something that is being held AGAINST them? Have you "seen" the SECOND holocaust comming and them NOT helping you? No.

I was annoyed by the perceived condescension of their motives. I would just as soon NOT have have Christians pray for me or bless me. I will settle for good manners.

But, they're so anxious to bless you right now, you could have them do just about anything you want.

Some folks in Israel are taking advantage of the offer in a very big way. Maybe you should see whether you could cash in somehow, too.
