I remember there was a famous black panther and communist who faced either going to jail or leaving the US and living in a communist country over some things he'd done, that he traveled many communist countries, and came back maybe a decade later renouncing both communism and socialism. I wish I could remember the guy's name right now - his writings might have some answers for the OP.

Your only official diagnosis is for depression, so you only think you have another mental condition, and your belief that you do not qualify for insurance is based on an assumption of what could happen if you had AS.
Wow.

Ok man can you please not diminish my problems...not being able to afford an official diagnoses does not mean I don't have any issues actually. I and my therapist discussed what symptoms I was expressing and came to the conclusion that I fit the criteria for AS, PTSD and Major Depression...I just cannot afford to go get it official.
But regardless of your belief that I don't have PTSD even though I had a tramatic experiance and have experianced all the required symptoms....I cannot afford insurance.
But really thank you for attacking me.....kick people who are down right?

I guess I should leave this website because I can't afford an official AS diagnoses...even though I fit the criteria and have struggled since childhood with the ways this disorder has effected me and caused hell when i tried to interact with people. And finally found a support site were people with simular experiances can give advice and such..I must just be a freaking liar I guess.
I just need to get over it right, I was not in the room that girl got shot so I can't possibly have PTSD I really need to get over having a panic attack in class, jumping and feeling anxous for a few minutes if a loud noise startles me...and generally feeling like crap.

No need to get in an uproar ... I had just thought that you were one of the officially diagnosed, that's all. If you fit the criteria, then why can't your therapist make an interim diagnosis, or at least make a referral to someone who can?
As far as the PTSD is concerned, that's a tough break. Some of my friends I served with have that, and it's rough on them and their families. I saw much of the same action, but have none of the symptoms. That does not diminish their suffering, but it does mean that they think less of me for not having been affected.
But if you are looking for issue support from strangers, then maybe you could post those issues in Haven, and just use the rest of the site for your opinions.
Just sayin' ...

Pooh. A lot of us for reasons varying from cash to what would be the point got no stinking official diagnosis, and not all the diagnosticians are what they are cracked [pun intended] up to be and not all the diagnosed are what the paper says they are - besides the fact they keep adjusting the definitions.
You may be this, that, or [as I was the one time a diagnosis was attempted on me] something that has not been defined yet. Big deal.
But certain ones will tramp on you whatever your diagnosis status. Bite them in the heel.

Well quite frankly because I could not afford it.
And the issue is this was just a political debate or whatever, so there was no need to try and tell me I just think I have these issues...and I was just describing why its not very likely for me to expect to get any insurance maybe I am wrong about the pre-existing mental conditions but It is true I can't afford it.

Sweetleaf, check out some of Eldridge Cleaver's later writings on socialism - Soul on Fire might have some interesting things in it as well.

Location: in my own little tamarillo jungle,
people that categorically state socialism is "bad" lack perspective, just as people that think capitalism can work on it's own.
so why do people continue with this ridicoulous demonization and further parting what could be partners?

Capitalism positively cannot work without laws against fraud, reckless endangerment and legal penalties for breach of contract.

Socialism can not work without a supply of "Haves" being forced to give handouts to the "Have-Nots". Once the "Haves" run out of money, they join the ranks of the "Have-Nots". Eventually, there are no more "Haves" to rob and the "Have-Nots" have no more income. The end result is that all the "Have-Nots" must either find some way to earn what they need or die.
At least in Capitalism, a person can rise to the status of "Haves" through determination, diligence, and effort. From there, they can choose to support the "Have-Nots" of their own free will, or choose to keep it all for themselves. Not everybody can do this, of course, but that does not mean that nobody should try.
Capitalism has, at it's heart, the freedom to choose one's own destiny, while Socialism is all about someone else choosing your destiny for you (and likely against your will).

Quite so. Wealth and assets cannot be redistributed unless they are first created. Socialist system
s are very deficient in wealth creation and innovation. They are really great for equalizing misery.
Socialism is a perfect system for a bunch of survivors in a life boat with only a limited amount of fresh water to share among them.

One thing that can be said - innovation drops as well as the variety of 'stuff' available. You also have the concern - if people are much more 'equal' of how much more foul, petty, and generally bad natural selection would get if it had even less concrete to grab onto.

This is called the "Zero-Sum Model". It implies that there is a fixed and limited supply of resources that must be shared equally among all participants. In reality, money is not a zero-sum commodity - there is more money being minted and printed every day.
Capitalism works, but only for those who participate in making it work. It is an active and dynamic system, full of risks and rewards.
Socialism also works, but only for those who are willing to allow others to make it work for them. It is a passive and static system, full of sameness and ... sameness.

Or a bunch of survivors on a planet with limited resources?
