It ought to be recalled, all this talk about flattening Gaza and killing the people there, is BS spouted by Ariel Sharon's prick of a son, and is being parroted by like minded a**holes in the Knesset. Most Israelis, being the products of western civilization, have no such bloody notions on how to behave.

I would say it sounds more like people that are fed up with rockets being fired into their cities, buses being blown up, etc.

I think it was something that was said in a moment of anger, do I think the Israelis would actually nuke Gaza, probably not. I don't think the Israelis would go to that far not simply cause they would find it immoral, it is also incredibly stupid considering the size of Gaza and size of Israel would mean that Israel would also get hit with the nuclear fallout potentially.

Not every Palestinian is responsible for shooting rockets into Israel. In fact, what is being found out now is, not every Palestinian even supports - let alone likes - Hamas.

Thing is Kraichgauer, using nukes on Gaza is rather impractical considering how small Israel is, getting hit with radiation from your own weapon is rather idiotic, it was merely someone speaking in anger, whom probably wouldn't push the button if it came right down to it.

How many of the "poor Palestinians" wants to see an eventual end to Israel though? The last opinion polls I was shown pushed at around the 70% mark for Palestinians seeking an end to Israel.

The reason being, those 70% probably had homes on what is now called 'Israel'.

I really don't know, though I have to think that not all of them.

Absolutely agreed. But for a prominent person like Sharron's son to say such a thing only aggravates an already tense situation.

As I said, I'm not sure he's universally liked even within Israel.

Of course he's not - Israel is a civilized, western country.

Alright ... people here keep arguing about whether Israel has a right to exist but it seems to be going nowhere. Nobody seems to be changing any opinions.

Here are some more important questions:
1. Should America keep sending aid to Israel after all they've done?
2. Should the Tea Party movement be against foreign aid to Israel since it involves taxation?
3. Should America go to war with Iran just because they have a beef with Israel?

No. Yes. No.

However the "aid" we send to Israel is a stealth subsidy of U.S. businesses since the Israelis use the money to buy hardware mostly from U.S. corporations.

Alright ... so Israel has to defend itself without help.

Good

Should the NATO countries defend themselves without help?

Why single Israel out? The Israelis provide the U.S. with first rate technology and they test our weapons. In addition they have a higher rate of patent production per capita than the U.S. The Israelis are smarter on the average than Americans. They have to be. in order to survive. In the U.S. 60 percent of the people believe in miracles and angels and about an equal number deny the Theory of Evolution. We need all the smart allies we can get to make up for American stupdidty.

As we (the United States) could introduce the practice of cannibalism, and while the rest of the world would turn against us, Israel would probably remain our only friend. The simple fact is, friends have to stick together.

So Zionists, the game is up. Prominent Rabbis and Israeli politicians arent even trying to humour the facade anymore by trying to dress this up as the defence of Jews. Or even about responding to Palestinian attacks. They've as good as come out and advocated full blown, ethnic cleansing. Theres no way of putting a different spin on it.

Well done Israel, you've become everything you claimed to hate.

You either say that last statement as if you are disappointed, and that at one point you rooted for Israel, or you say that statement and lavish in it, anxiously awaiting Israel to be pushed into the sea.
