Or as Mark Twain put it: "If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it." The best thing we can hope for is stormy weather and a loose cannon on deck.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
But seriously, despite all her negatives, I think she is still a formidable opponent. That is, if she can survive the Bernie barrage.

I think she can... if Trump self destructs due to his own demagoguery. And that is not hardly beyond the realm of possibility.

For the most part, no; but then there's the rest of us who can see Trump for the shallow, egomaniacal windbag that he is, and I think we're the majority.

I hope you're right, and that there are more sanders fans than T Rump fans.

Right now is the time when the various White House competitors are assembling their fan clubs. Hopefully, Bernie... or yes, even Hilary... can draw enough prospective voters to their cause to overwhelm Trump or whoever the Right decides to self destruct this time with.

One thing that impresses me about Sanders is that he marched with MLK. He was pro-civil rights when it wasn't "cool" to be so.

I hope a left win catches me by surprise the same way it did in 2008. but I won't hold my breath.

And while others have reacted to the Black Lives matter, Sanders has seen fit to incorporate them into his campaign.

Never underestimate the right's knack for shooting themselves in the foot (alienating non-whites, women, working people, the young, etc) by embracing the plutocracy, the religious right, and the lunatic fringe. It certainly helps to have a charismatic Democratic candidate like Barack Obama, and hopefully Bernie Sanders in the running.

I hope anonymous keeps a sharp gorgon stare on diebold and their shenanigans in this race. all the right's dirty tricks will be out in full force.
