this is the origin all these "______ studies"
They can call it anti-intellectual but there isn't anything intellectual about communism, it's never the math or physics majors that cause problems.
it's a crime that they've literally collared these foolish children into hundreds of thousands of dollars for degrees that will get them no jobs and indoctrinates them against their own country and culture.
That's just about the stupidest thing I've ever read on this forum. Seriously, Sociology is a communist plot to destroy the country?

That's what the colleges argue.
They argue education has value all itself.
In 2011, Northwestern University student graduates with 200k in debt with 4 year Sociology degree.

Not exactly, they still argue (correctly, I might add) that college graduates earn more than non-graduates.

http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2014/02/ ... o-college/
This misses the point.
These SJW degrees have limited real world earning potential.
Further, these people graduate with 20+ years of debt servicing with interest. Not factoring that in, does not give a true picture of the true ROI (Return on investment).

I cannot speak for your university department but sociology derived from Marxism is a real thing, that is where these 'social justice warriors' and the entire concept of political correctness comes from. You guys wanted a definition of what this ideology behind SJWs is supposed to be so don't be angry at me for giving you a real answer. These people have been an entrenched part of the establishment for a long time now and I think have played a pivotal role in disintegration of the American family and the source of so much of our societies ills, political correctness has been suffocating America far too long and I think America as it is now speaks for itself at what a failure this ideology is at producing a harmonious prosperous society. "The experts" got it wrong, their self interests are not the shared with working class Americans who they really look down at in disdain.

Education has inherent value. Whether or not that education is worth the is a separate question from if it has any value. A Tomica Nissan Silvia S13 has value, whether or not it's worth what the person selling it on eBay is asking would also be a separate (and analogous) issue.

That's why I'm voting for Hillary Clinton. She has put forward a plan that would eliminate most of the student debt by making a 4 year degree free to anyone who earns $85,000 a year.

Her plan is not to eliminate any existing student debt.
Rather, she plans to make college free for future students.

Hence future borrowing would decrease leading to an overall decrease in student debt over time.

There is a subject called Marxist Sociology, which is a critique of social and economic systems from a Marxist perspective. But Sociology is the subject that was listed which you called something subversive, and that's dumb. There's nothing subversive about learning Marxism for that matter, all economics majors learn about it. Education is not the same thing as indoctrination.
Where is the American family being disintegrated as a result of being politically correct? Or is this just conservatism in different words? I bet you would agree that we should get rid of welfare because it's destroying poor people. And intellectuals are afraid to say so to avoid harming the feelings of the poor and minorities? Conservatives should stop being PC and admit that "welfare reform" means stealing from the poor. "Family Values" means oppressing gays. "Religious Freedom" means having the freedom to discriminate against whoever you don't like in matters of public commerce. "Tax reform" means giving unfair monetary advantages to corporate power so that they can buy more Democracy than the people. So admit that the PC twisting of words works both ways. Not even Trump has the balls to tell the truth about it.

It's not a straw man because you don't like it. AspE is right.

show me where I support any of those things
the funny thing is that Hillary actually was for all of them at one time
It is indoctrination if they teach it as absolute fact. They're teaching things such as patriarchy, rape culture, the wage gap, microagressions etc. These kinds of things are not academic, they are unfounded beliefs.
Some social justice programs are just fine, but more and more are becoming infected with SJW ideology.

The Republicans have the most anti-lgbt platform in history according to log cabin Republicans. It is conservatives that are fighting to lower the capital gains tax which primarily benefits the super wealthy. It is also conservatives that want to drug test people who need government assistance. And it is conservatives that want to destroy the marriages of around one million people. I think those examples speak to AspE's point.

How do you figure? Trump the cosmopolitan socialite from Manhattan is the most anti-LGBT candidate in history? Give me a break, nobody actually believes that. AspE was speaking directly to me saying "I bet you", that is the definition of a strawman.

So anyone that opposes social justice in any form, even when it's teaching wrong information, must be a conservative? So does that make me a conservative, even though I'm actually liberal? That's a ridiculous argument you've got there.
SJWs themselves aren't even liberal. They're far more comparable to the religious right at this point than anyone else on the left.
