Really? If you try to understand quantum mechanics, protein interactions, etc. that will end up with concepts far beyond in their complexity any of the theological writings. If you try to understand what reality is really is, how we develop out model of the world, how refine this model with empirical observation, you will see it is much more complex process than just saying "It's God's work."
If need to understand which behaviour is right or wrong for own, need to understand which philosophic concepts are helpful or just wrong you have a much more complex process than just looking up the bible (or in the Catholic case reading the papal encyclicas).
An atheist is aware about the complexity of live and that there are no simple answers. A Christian (and almost al religious people) provide just unprovable simplistic answers to complex questions.
