It's a pity there's no such thing as time-travel.
Otherwise I'd go back in time and persuade your mother to abort you
It's interesting that you wouldn't choose the most beneficial of the options by far, to convince Tiller's mother to use protection just before she would have conceived him. How many people would be alive today if not for Tiller and his greed?

Capital punishment is Biblical. The law should have caught up with Tiller long, long ago as the serial killer he was. Jesus never advocated a lawless society, or one without punishment for crime. His message was that our worldly concerns and strifes with each other are secondary, and that primarily we should focus on loving one another, because it's the next world -- the eternal one -- that matters most.
I'm not saying that Tiller's killer made the right choice. I'm just pointing out the succession of facts: 1. Tiller killed thousands of babies. 2. Tiller was killed. 3. Tiller doesn't kill babies anymore.
Other people do. And if the doctors who do a clean job of it are scared out of the business the women will go to butchers to get the job done. The fetuses will still die. So nothing has been accomplished of any use.
And when the murderer is put into prison for life (and he will be) he won't be killing any more abortionists, will he?
Tiller's business is perfectly legal. Much killing is legal. The killing our soldiers do under proper authority is legal. Killing in self defense is legal. And in order for killing to be illegal the killing must either involve the wrongful destruction of property (as in killing someone's prize horse) or the wrongful killing of a human person. A fetus is not a human person. It has a human genome but it is not a person. So killing a fetus is not murder legally or morally. The anti-aborts love to call fetuses babies. They are not babies. In order for a fetus to be a baby it has to be born alive and viable.

Since you consider abortion to be murder, you obviously believe that doctors who perform this "murder," as well as the women who hire him to do it, must go to prison for the rest of their lives with no chance of parole, or be executed. That's what we do to murderers.
Right?
Depends on the knowledge per case; might just be manslaughter in many cases on the part of the child-killing mothers. But there is no doctor who performs abortions who doesn't know exactly what he's doing. Therefore, it should be a charge of murder for the doctors. O'Reilly said "This is a sad day for America". Ya, that's right... When serial killers are finally put to a stop, ya, that's a real sad day alright.
That's a cop-out. You claim abortion is murder, yet you say that the person who hired the "murderer" is only guilty of manslaughter. You can't have it both ways... it either is murder or it isn't. If it is, then the mother must die as well.
Apparently, if you kill thousands of innocent people, that's okay. Just don't kill 1 murderer, because that's wrong. Yes, we need to honor our murderers, and kill our babies.
Is that not exactly what many of you are saying?

Ed, it could easily be classified as conspiracy to commit murder or something along those lines. From the pro-life perspective, it is the doctor who actually kills. The law could treat it similarly to someone hiring a hit man to kill someone else.

Ragtime, everyone here agrees that killing humans is wrong. The disagreement is that most pro-choicers do not believe a fetus should be classified as a human, whereas pro-lifers believe it should. It becomes a game of definitions, and there doesn't seem to be any way of making one side understand the other's point.

The best thing, then, is to let this silent Holocaust continue.

If only it were a game.
Just because it's a game to some of those playing it doesn't mean it's a game to those getting hurt and killed by it.

Then you can't protest when adults kill each other.
Be consistent, don't be an ageist. That's as bad as racism. Remember, the Jews in the Holocaust were considered "less than human", too, and the Nazis used your justification of dimished human value to carry out the oven and gas chamber mass-murders. They were just "cleansing" their society of undesirables, like those who kill unwanted fetuses.
The hypocrisy in that is that being "undesireable" doesn't diminish your true worth. Neither does being an unwanted unborn child diminish its worth.

Way to deliberately misinterpret my post. The disagreement is over the definition of human life.

The adopted guy begs to differ. If anyone ever said that to my face there's a better than 50/50 chance they would get knocked out on the spot.
I absolutely support the right to make a choice in the matter, but people in this situation need to be fully aware of the weight of their actions. Likening abortion to swatting a fly is f*cking appalling dude. Watch your mouth.

Yes, just as Jesus would have wanted - and advocated for all of the years he was upon this Earth.
As we all clearly remember, Jesus said "Murder your enemies."

Abortion is legal. Tiller was your enemy, and you advocated for his death. Yet you agree that Jesus' message was that "we should focus on loving one another".
Should Bush have been killed for sending thousands of soldiers to their death for a war based on false pretenses? What about the generals and pentagon officials?
You can't simply kill the killers to eliminate them from society; you become one yourself, thereby creating the very product you're trying to destroy.

And that "game" has deadly consequences. I understood your point.
