Exactly. Actions and values speak loudly I think it is important for you to get to know someone to truly help them out. I want to be openminded when talking to people about chrisitanity because I myself use to be an atheist. Thanks everyone for the input so far.

i don't think it's necessary for salvation. there's different vocations and mine isn't evangelism.

for you a bible well.. chapter : 1 conrith 12 it speaks about the gift of the spirt and proves your point

I think the logical consistency of the Christian faith, and the reasons for that faith, should be shared by Christians with those who wish to know about it. I think it's part of the Great Commission, which I believe was the last recorded instruction given by Jesus to His disciples.

But Peter adds that Christians are to do this with gentleness and respect. If evangelism isn't done with gentleness and respect than I think it's probably a form of bullying.
