So.....what? You'd just enforce your will by military might? You need to do some serious studying, the government who enforce military might on their people normally are the most impoverished and lack any kind of enlightened governance rather less a governance that could be considered wise.

Plotinus, this is PPR. It's for people who can handle intellectual debate, which by definition involves the possibility of people not agreeing with you. Please stop wasting the moderators' time by reporting people every time you don't like what they say.

You think a wise ruler is the dictator of a military dictatorship???? There have been and are many such people and likely many of them have been smart. But wise? All you are advocating is military dictatorship with nothing to explain why that form of government is superior to other forms.

Umm.... no, it really isn't wise at all. Not only that, but you haven't defined "wise" in the first place despite the fact that I asked you to do so in another thread.

Yeah, you always need the people's trust. Even Machiavelli was pretty explicit on the fact that you want people to respect you, not to hate you. If the people don't trust you, then how are you going to maintain your army? You will have recruiting problems, if not also defection. What are you going to do then? Impose feudalism again? Take us a thousand years back into the past? That seems to be the opposite of wise.

by the way 84, you insulted me. You said:' you re not wise in the least'. Insulting is against the rules here.

Given your behavior I would take his statement as a statement of fact. And one I agree with. We can even frame it this way: "Your proposals disagree with all definitions of wisdom that I would consider valid, bringing into question an assertion you have made in the past about your own wisdom".

Absolutely correct! You are wasting your time with well informed people with a clear understanding of what is wise and what is idiocy.

Now that you seem to have begun to understand the difference between major and minor contributions perhaps you might undertake to try a major one for once.

'K then, Plotinus. You want more of a contribution from me? Fine.

You are not wise. The very fact that you label yourself as such is evidence to the contrary. And your lack of tolerance for dissent leads me to believe that if you were in power, we would all be living in a society comparable to Stalinist Russia. That isn't very wise.

I am familiar with the concept of nirvana.

In the democratic system it is the majority that rules. Aspergers are a minority. The majority considers asperger as deviant, therefor we are sent to psychiatrists, loose our jobs because we don't engage in small talk and other nonsense, et cetera.

Let's reintroduce the aristocratic system! We, the aspergers are, generally, aristocrats. Not by birth, but by intellectual strength. Then we will rule! Long live aristocracy!

(NB. We will then treat the non-aspergers good heh! I have to say this because in this hypersensitive world one is a bad guy very quickly!)

Where in your original post do you mention anything about nirvana? I see a lot, however, about dictature.

Which use of irony are you referring to here? Is there something I missed?

It worked out terrifically for the Israelis.
