Science is your strength! Go for that!

I wish that science, particularly chemistry, had more of a job market demand. However, my major is accounting.

All of those "british" terms you site came from (or atleast were commonly used in) American English at the turn of the Twentieth centurey.

Ironically- usually in the North/Northeast.

America was trying to digest the tens of millions of recent European immigrants-who settled in the Northern cities back then.

Hense the need for ethnic slurs for all of these White ethnics -used both by the native born and by the new migrants themselves against each other.

Germans were 'bohunks", Irish were "mics", Italians were "wops" or "dagos", Poles were "pollocks", and Jews were "Kikes", and so forth.

One term Im cetain IS British is "Wog" which means "non-caucasian"- or something- anyone the speaker doesnt like.

The saying goes "the Wogs begin at Calais".

Calais is the French port in Normandy that is the closest foriegn city to Britian- hense - the whole human race (even in the rest of Europe) is a bunch of lowlives- inferior to the Brits!

To answer your question- its a different kind of racism- so its hard to compare.

American South is like Northern Ireland - a community divided into two longstanding groups with a long tradtion of mutual hatred.

Modern Britain (indeed all of 21st centurey Europe) is becoming like the Northern USA always was- a land of uprooted immigrants moving around. On one hand comming into conflict with each other more than before- but on the other hand- less tied to local traditions - including traditions of tribal hatred. England maybe going through a brief conflict phase on the way merging into a pan European melting pot were national divisions are forgotten. In otherwards Europe may become like white america- one big suburb.
