Well, right, but sand, the problem is that to make a human machine is likely quite expensive, especially since it has to be programmed incredibly well(and have a variety in programming otherwise it would be given away by certain mannerisms) and the body size, shape, and look can't be mass produced(otherwise you could tell by the way the thing looks).
As it stands, I think military use will take quite some time as these tools will both have to be made possible and feasible in order to be made usable.

The software is irrelevant- just make a backup copy. There are no marginal costs in software. The computer components are getting cheaper all the time. And you can keep using the same body size/shape with just a different covering in terms of face, skin tone, etc without people being able to easily pick it out of a crowd.
I still agree with you that military use is some time away, but if they can make a convincing sex bot, suicide bomber bots would be much easier.

That's not what I mean. I mean that this software will interact with other people. In doing this, it will display patterns, if these patterns can be identified, then this could be an easy metric by which to figure out the robots.
Well, I suppose the body shape and size really might not matter, but they very well could, particularly given that this may include aspects of a walking style, standing style, body language when waiting for something, etc, are all possibly relevant.
I just meant that face, skin tone, etc, would be difficult because you can't make it all look the same, and making it look different is costly, especially since it also has to look realistic and likely be able to stay together well in various weather conditions. Not only that, but voices would have to be synthesized and/or voice actors that spoke using regional accents would also be necessary.
Finally, the opponents might not focus on something like this if testing for a robot, but rather use metal detectors or even require identification for these things.
Orwell, think of it this way. If robots are infiltrating your society, are you going to just sit back and watch it happen? No. You are going to develop methods for counteracting this. And the more standardized these robots are in some form or fashion, the easier it is to counteract them.

I doubt it is convincing, men are just horny enough to use blow-up dolls, so the next step of making it say something and interact somewhat is still an improvement.
Awe shucks! What a question!
The awe of understanding is coming out to meet and appreciate the rest of creation - the awe of ignorance is hiding from it (Zaphod Beeblebrox was inspired by having full consciousness flood his brain, whereas everybody else was driven insane by finding out how small and insignificant they were - which meant losing everything else they held onto for dear life: He dumped his ego (identity/ materialistic outlook), they didn't).

And thereby had no interest in artificial and attractive humans. I'm not sure the exchange was worthwhile.
Beyond that, as anyone who pursues understanding will confirm, the fun is not in knowing but in finding out. Once anyone knows everything the whole thing in an area becomes a total bore and dynamic seekers after knowledge look elsewhere for amusement. Knowing everything would be mentally deadly.

I presume this is a dig at me, although I do not quite understand the context of it.
BTW my sig line refers to a speech made by DA and is in reference to Evolution vs Creation, and has nothing to do with HHGTTG
