Hometown proud topic

One can be proud of one's roots as long as one realizes that such pride can never be static. Pride of place can evolve over time as changes occur. Enforced nationalism is nazism, or facism. History has shown us what eventually happens to such regimes.

Being proud of one's roots is like being proud of one's left big toe. I am not responsible for having one so I cannot take any credit for it's being there.

I oppose socialism.
But lets say I live in a free market society and another community has their socialist system, anyone who would try to stop the socialists from living like they are living, is my enemy and I will be on the side of the socialists.
...Too bad socialists can't say the same for me and my people...

*facepalm*

What did you achieve with that, or the "LOL" you respond with to people's comments?
Ridiculing somebody actually discredits you.
If you can't refute, debunk, criticize, contribute or agree just don't make a fool out of yourself for your own good.

I really want to know what wrong do you see in my words.
It makes me think you did not read correctly or you are just trying to be an a**hole.

Well, you just have to accept that when confronted with total silliness some people are speechless and have to resort to gesture.

With that criteria I can quote any post and add gestures. Does that make the content of the posts silly?

What was achieved was my question. You couldn't answer that, and I doubt you would because you evaded it the first time.

*facepalm* Look at the case of Singapore! I am suffering under the worst combination of capitalism and socialism! China seemed like the 2nd worst...

Exactly my point. There is no such thing as a 100% socialistic nor capitalistic state anymore. The times of that wall are well over. There's Socialism in the US and all over Europe. There's capitalism in China and Singapure. There's censorship and retardedness all over them as well. If things are bad in Singapure it isn't because it has socialism in the mix, it is because it has a badly designed combination of capitalism/socialism.

You can have any political or economic system anywhere, the problem is and will forever be corruption. Capitalism and Socialism can merely change the way in which the corruption materializes, but not much more.

Another half of my *facepalm* went to the assumption that socialism = communism...

Well that's nice but I think that would be consider racism not nationalism.

You do realize too that white people could even be jews and arabs right? The group you're probably referring to in America is the Anglo Saxons.

If all you have for pride is in being white then you must be pretty poverty stricken for accomplishments.

The only thing that makes me proud about my land is that I've managed not to be a ret*d even though I am surrounded by them. Chances are you all are also surrounded by them though.

I don't think the following sentiment can be overstated, hence the word usage: "Only a ret*d would be proud of being born in a land that's full of ret*ds."

People with limited intellectual capabilities are still people and should benefit by the accumulated intellectual wealth of humanity. How many of us have made a discovery or done something immensely useful for the whole species? Very few I'm sure and each life, human or otherwise values the short time of being alive. A limited human is still smarter than a mushroom but if one could interview a mushroom I'm sure it would delight in simply being alive. Unless I'm hungry, I'd grant it that.

When I say ret*d I don't mean low IQ (I bet even in my coutnry the average IQ is 100) or intellectually-challenge. I mean stupid, or perhaps a**holes or jackassess was the correct word. I mean that they are idiots that don't know what they want and keep ruining the whole place. Sure they deserve services and have access to the 'accumulated intellectual wealth' . I just don't agree with 100% of the way they think or to what they want, hence I think they are idiots and must go to heck.

I don't think they should be exterminated or denied privileges or anything, I just can't feel proud of them.

Who are you responding to?

If it's me then you got me wrongly pegged....
