I was much more amused to discover that Obama's Kenyan grandfather was a Mau Mau supporter. Links to a known terrorist organisation? Best get the Homeland Security people on that pronto.

If she is so persecuted there...Let's save the poor Tibetans who are being abused daily by the Chinese government....now that's a tragedy!

I think the only reason why this post was written in the first place, is because the lady in question is Obama's aunt. Come on, we're a generous, humane country, and we have always opened out arms to those in need. I do agree we need to help the people of Tibet; they are a people with a long and proud history, set upon by a totalitarian government. I imagine our debt to China has much to do with our government's silence.
But over all, I'm glad this lady has been permitted to stay. People need to chill out when it comes to our president.

There are billions of people in similar positions; historically we've only opened our arms to those that we expected to contribute once they got here.

Yes, the issue is that it's Obama's aunt, who likely got special treatment because of it. If it hadn't been for that, it's very unlikely the asylum request would have been reopened.
