Anyone up for a little fun?
So long as they are not significantly opposed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Education and Healthcare are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 58%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Soda Sales.
Crime is totally unknown. Spyralvia's national animal is the sea turtle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the splonk.
Interesting. No crime and super high taxes for the wealthy. Not sure how it turned out like this but could be interesting. My first issue is also the compulsory voting issue.

The Empire of Execaliburia is a fledgling, socially progressive nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 5 million enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.
The minute, liberal, pro-business government, or what there is of one, is effectively ruled by the Department of Commerce, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A large private sector is led by the Soda Sales industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Gambling.
Crime is pervasive, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Execaliburia's national animal is the mutant rabbit, and its currency is the radioactive pellet.
Interesting, I guess. A while after founding it I began getting spammed with requests to join regions, kind of lame. It seems everyone gets the compulsory voting issue the first day.
I don't really care about crime that much. I wonder if legalizing drugs is what caused the crime to be that big. If so I would really disagree with whoever programmed that event. I think historically we know that the opposite is true, refer to [prohibition] for more info.

^^ Greetings everyone. I do hope this is alrighty that I have moved to Ennayti and the happy name of my nation is Ameta.
I don't think so, I have legalized drugs and my crime is low. Might be something else..maybe the massive gap between the classes?

My second issue was Free Speech. Some religious nuts were complaining there is too much. I decided to give them more free speech.

My second issue was taxes. Decided to dismiss the issue b/c I didn't really have an opinion. Wanting to send a delegate from our region to the Assembly to mess with people's heads over there but don't know how to do that.
(It's like an interactive game of Civ4 without all the inventing stuff...)
^^Hello everyone, my second little issue was for me to concentrate the budget on a particular area. I believe that I selected education.
My third issue was that many poor businesses were moving abroad as I believe I was very evil and tight regulations were placed upon businesses. As economic collapse was looming, I could decide to remove regulations or outlaw capitalism. I have decided to outlaw capitalism. Oh dear, I do hope that I have not upset very many individuals.

The United Kingdom of Flag Planters is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the socialist government, which grants its people the freedom to do whatever they like so long as it doesn't involve getting richer than anybody else or challenging the government.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 49%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Furniture Restoration.
Crime is relatively low. Flag Planters's national animal is the gerbil, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the doob.

Nice.
My tax rate is 60% and my economy is described as "basket case". Don't know how to fix that, though except letting my people work it out for themselves...

Basically, the nationstates game has an economic model that holds that pro-business and pro-market decisions improve the well-being of the economy.

My country doesn't even have prisons and my crime is "relatively low".

My economy is listed as good despite my 41% tax rate and "much higher for the wealthy".
Pro-business does improve the economy but it's normally at the price of liberties or your country's environment or civil rights.
