Actually his real agenda was NOT clear from the beginning. A lot of people (foolishly) took him at his word, on both sides of the political divide.

What we should have had was another Bill Clinton. Now Bill was base and crude but he had an unerring talent for steering the optimal course through the political currents. Which is why the program he carried out would have fit a moderate Republican as will as it fit him. But we got an ideologue (alas for us) backed by true believers who wore Blue Shirts. You might say they were the Obama Jugend (an analogue to the Hitler Jugend). Another Bill Clinton might have been just what this country needed. Think of Bill, but without copping blow jobs in the White House itself.

I've learned that there is basically no differences between presidential choices, since they do what the special interests groups do anyway.

I didn't vote, but I hoped Obama would win, just so we can say we had a partial african-american in office.

Anyone of a sound mind should have seen that with WallStreet funding the candidates, Obama speaking of support for "free markets" (codeword for existing corporate monopolies) and "bipartisanship" (codeword for appeasment) with Clintonians like Rahm, Slick Hillie, and Larry Summers being brought in, the US already suffering massive deficits due to the Paulson bailout which Obama supported, Obama's announced escalation of the Afghan War, a strangehold on the budget from martial spending, and the rightwing propoganda machine in full gears ready to misinterprete the deficit as one of social spending, that change was improbable.

No...that's why I didn't vote for him. But you're a moron if you think that either major party will bring about any legitimate change. They're all bought and owned.

It also doesn't help that the past 4 presidents have all had direct CIA contact before becoming president and also all met up with the Bilderberg meeting in the year or so before being elected.

You're a fool for believing the conspiracies that TV and talk radio tell you. You're living in a mythic world built up to control your subjective reality.

Did I ever say that? I did not vote in the last election. The choices were extremely bad.

That is called democracy.

They've been appalling for a couple decades now, at least.

The only reason I vote AT ALL (or don't just vote for a third party candidates like Nader) is because the democrats are generally better on the social/cultural issues.
They know they have to be these days and alot of otherwise conservative (not that i'm "conservative" in any sense) voters support them simply because of those issues.

Both parties are essentially the same on economic and foreign policy issues IMO. Sure GWB got us into an unnecessary war in Iraq....but Kennedy and LBJ got us into Vietnam, which was more bloody on both sides and probably even more unnecessary.

Nonetheless....Bush gave us supreme court justices like Alito and Roberts. At least Obama got two decent nominees appointed who aren't bats**t crazy christian righties.

Obama's nominees were both picked for their private agendas. One promotes racism and the other's private writings talk about seeding socialism.

I voted for Obama because I couldn't stand Sarah Palin. McCain only picked her to appeal to female voters. It's like, "hey, she has tits! It doesn't matter if she is dumb as a brick, it's not like the women voters would notice!"

To be honest, there isn't a single man out there now that could dig America out of the s**thole that it's in. :/

I'd say your evidence for the former is dubious at best. Since I define myself as a Libertarian Socialist, I really wouldn't care about the latter even if it is true. Unlike many Americans, I do not look upon socialism as some sort of unconditional evil.
