Goodness gracious. You mean Muslims never fight each other? They must be as peaceful as Christians.

Given the heated rhetoric from columnists like Jonathan Goldberg, the Israeli Government, and even the White House, is a war with Iran probable?

Given the heated rhetoric in Iran, such as the mindless chanting of "Death to America! Death to America!" and all so much other crap, a war is inevitable.

I was being sarcastic.

Of course, the media has been parading about some relatively benign 'Sufi Muslims' recently to reinforce their propaganda about "the religion of peace."

Covert operations maybe, but I don't think a war will even be necessary.

Here is what I base my decision on:

1. The launch of the nuclear reactor in Bushehr, with the spent nuclear fuel going to Russia to prevent Iran from using it other than for the medical reactor fuel it says it is for.

2. The post-election chaos in 2009 exposed the great divides between the majority of the Iranian people (who are mostly younger, and have no memory of the Shah's regime), and the ruling clerics.

3. Israel may launch a pre-emptive strike against the nuclear facilities, as they did with the Osiraq reactor in Iraq in 1981.
