There is no good reason for some people in this forum to accuse this person of being deluded. In fact it runs counter to the rules of the forum.

Delusion is not an insult, it is a medical condition and requires therapy.

Whoa ! Do you mean to say that if some one is out of touch with reality we are not allowed to tell him he is out of touch with reality?

Last I checked, most of these forum discussions are instantaneously pushed to Google, so you may want to check on that if you're wanting to keep this low key.

Yes, God is good -- but it's also benefical to walk circumspectly in situations where you don't know this guy that well. People ought to be acknowledging boundaries and personal space, regardless of the theology.

Or if it is clear that someone is out of touch with reality. Even sane people have their insane moments, particularly under stress.

As 'good' is a subjective term I'll assume you're ignorant of any potential 'good' reason. There is, however, no justification for you to suggest there is no 'valid' reason, which is what I believe you meant.

If you feel it is appropriate to dictate ethics to a forum full of people you do not know, it is far more valid for someone else to make an observation based on what an individual posts.

My experiences here and elsewhere suggest that atheists are far more tolerant of divergent beliefs and attitudes to their own. What does that say for Christian values?

Evil is not real. Just acts that serve to hurt others. Not evil, though...just a bad ratio of benefit to hurt.

So hurt is real. Seems like the word "hurt" is the whole point of that other word?

It's not evil to the person benefiting from it.

Assuming the person is deluded though, what if he is telling the truth and isn't deluded? There have been numerous reports of visitations by Angels, you can't tell me every single one of the people whom sited an Angel are either deluded or lieing.

It seems quite evident I can't. So I won't bother anymore.

I guess that's why they created judicial systems and prisons then?

I went on a cave exploration tour once and when we got to the deepest section of the tour, the guide shut the lights off inside the cave.

Yes, to prevent the parasites. Unfortunately the parasites now own such control systems (what a shocker, something that seeks to gain power would gain power).
