Global Climate Change -- Then and Now

Nothing. Someone's been watching too much Glenn Beck.
Actually, Glenn Beck wasn't too far off on quite a bit of it. While there are some scientists out there whom legitimately have reached the conclusion based on their research that global warming is occurring, the was a huge scandal involving a group of scientists in the UK doctoring their research.
There is/was a group (not sure what happened to all of them) of global warming alarmists that altered data to create a hysteria, that is a fact. There are people out there that are using this to try to gain more power or line their own pockets. Beck and Hannity are correct about that, however they are partially wrong about the situation too (but it is understandable).
Having had an internship over the summer near DC, I managed to learn that there were quite a few scientists that were extremely pissed off. They weren't pissed with Beck nor were they pissed with Hannity, instead they were pissed at the scientists in the UK because their unprofessional behavior threw their crediblity in question as well (even though they hadn't tampered with their data). These jokers in the UK put the credibility of a lot of other scientists into question, fact is we don't know what data is tampered with and what is genuine.
The argument about Climate Change isn't as cut and dry as you think, especially after climate-gate.

Bank-financed communist revolution? Banks are an institution of capitalism. By their very nature they are opposed to communism.
"Bank-financed communist revolution" is a side wise snipe at the Jews. Alas, poor Jews, accused of both capitalism and communism, often from the mouths of the same people.

Of course, I had forgotten. It is no longer fashionable to complain about the Jews running the world, so instead they use code words like "banker."

Well there was an independent comission by the University of East Anglia led by Sir Muir Russell to examine the behavior of the climate scientists of the CRU. The comission exempted the scientists from any unethical behaviour. I don't know if that news reached the place where you live. But if you want to believe in your conspiracy theories it is ok.

In the thirteenth century, there was a major global climate change, known as the little ice age. Prior to that century, Greenland was actually green
I have not even finished reading the first phrase of your post and I already found a dubious claim.http://www.skepticalscience.com/greenla ... -green.htm

The Greenland ice sheet has existed for at least 400,000 years. There may have been regions of Greenland that were 'greener' than today but this was not a global phenomenon.

Prior to the "Little Ice" age the coastal fringes of Greenland were warm enough for farming and raising cattle and flocks. When the climate cooled radically, the Vikings who dwelt their found themselves unable to produce enough food. Had they followed the practices of the Skrealings who also dwelt in that area they could have survived by fishing. The Skrealings were indigenous people of that region and related to the Inuit. The Viking folks were too proud or too blind to adapt to the changing climate and they suffered the consequences.
