Leejosepho -

taking you at your word, though that can be dangerous here:

Of course, he did not make it even to 1st base as demigod, but the principle should apply.

I thank you for taking the risk -- I just learned something! I had never before now ever heard the thought of pride causing someone to reject adoration from others in favor of adoring oneself.

PS: For the most part, I try hard to only ever say what I mean and mean what I say.

Only if you were willing to stridently speak against my existence, and the existence of any other notion of deity.

I'm afraid the “any other” is a deal breaker.

It's a pity because I would like to be a part of something, but it seams this is not to be.

Good to know/
Except for a regrettable tendency toward heavy-handed [but often not so received sarcasm], I too. If I ask an explanation I definitely want one.

Psalm 82:6 "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." He is a god. The rest of you... I urge you to study the scriptures.

It is a bad translation from the Hebrew.

It should read: I have claimed you are Gods and you are children of the most high, but you shall die as men do and fall like any prince.

It is an ironic statement, not an assertion of fact.
