By having a conservative US president write the Iraqi constitution, we have guaranteed them liberty and economic success. Everyone got to keep his AK-47. Everything was hunky-dory. Now, the Iraqis want to ban toy guns! They are going to descend once again into liberalism, and we'll have to return once again to show them what is and is not acceptable.

And if they thought Saddam's torture prisons and poison gas attacks were bad, just wait until the tyrannical nanny state takes hold.

There is no right to bear arms in the Iraqi constitution. If the Iraqi people want to exercise that right, they should be able to but we should not interfere in their internal affairs.

But yes, It's not surprising that our own government has a disdain for our constitution either, the Bush administration and the rest of the Trotskyite wing in the Republican party being the worst offenders.

Exactly! Hell, Iraq had it a lot better under Saddam Hussein than we do under Barack Hussein Obama.

By what definition are Germany, Italy and Japan "failed states" exactly?

After the war, they were all turned into pinko-socialist liberal nanny states with socialized medicine (complete with "death panels"), socialized welfare, socialist gun control, and low church attendance.

That's my guess as well, although it's hard to tell. I think I remember Panda being pretty far right, and I've grown accustomed to the exaggerated pitch of the usual right-wing discussion. Dammit, Poe!

So, why do some of you trolls make the assumption that we conservatives are forever facetious?

It's the other way around Orwell, he's been periodically doing his version of Stephen Colbert for months now. Like Colbert he doesn't often break character, so I fully expect a denial of this.

Uh Japan never had a large population of Christians, if I remember correctly they are mostly Shinto or Budhist (sp?).

I do admire Stephen Colbert, and other conservative commentators. Especially Glen Beck and David Duke.

Like I said, Japan has had low church attendance. When we took over the Philippines from Spain, under a conservative Republican president, one of our goals was to convert the population to Christianity. And, church attendance in the Philippines remains strong. The Philippines has no wimpy gun control, no socialized medicine, and no "nanny state." The country remains proudly conservative and Christian, thanks to our good Republican President McKinley.

When we took over Japan, saving the population by converting the Japanese to Christianity wasn't even an after-thought. Hence, the country has fallen into liberal-socialist squalor, thanks to President Roosevelt.

Colbert is actually a liberal like John Stewart. I will assuming you're not being sarcastic agree with you about Beck. However I have to disagree with you on Duke, wasn't a David Duke a white supremist. As I've said in the past racism in general is stupid, and I will not condone racism in any form.

The Philippines was already converted to Christianity I would think because it was under Spanish control. Anyways I'm not one to force people to convert to Christianity because that is a poor way of demonstrating how to be a Christian. If someone converts it should be of their own free will.

Uh, President Roosevelt died in office before World War II concluded. The problem Japan had was that government subsidized everything to allow them to undercut our goods in trade. The thing is they put themselves in a hole doing so, and then raised taxes which torpedoed their economy. Japan not having a large Christian population had nothing to do with it.
