Regarding the Fox News thing, and with apologies to said company, to be fair there are a lot of conservatives that push for the censorship of internet porn.

When this law was preliminary passed by the commission that reviewed it, it was done unanimously. 100% of Democrats and 100% of Republicans in that commission thought the bill was a good idea.

The bill is a bipartisan endeavor. I love it that some people think it is the parties that control the media industry, when it is clearly the other way around.

I'm guessing the Republicans that voted for this are going to be facing stiff primary challenges as we approach November 2012.

Yes, because Fox News is making special commentary highlighting their participation in this bill and making the public flak very public.

Well considering, if I remember correctly, it didn't make it through the House in this Congress (they have to start over now that the clock ran out for the lame duck session), I don't think there is a snowball's chance in hell that it will make it through.

If I remember correctly, weren't Republicans talking about potentially defunding the FCC.

You are once again confusing COICA with the FCC faux neutrality regulations.

It seems that there are no strong democrat or republican voices against COICA. Even though it allows the government to shut down sites without a court order. The best we have so far is Ron Wyden, a democrat, but a single member of congress opposing about this transgression really shows the sort of control media giants have over both democrats and republicans.
