Looks like Obama has some questions to answer....

JERUSALEM - As pressure mounts on the White House to intervene to stop Moammar Gadhafi's bloody crackdown in Libya, many commentators have been wondering why Barack Obama has been cautious in his criticism of the dictator after the U.S. president so fervently supported the removal from office of U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.

But Gadhafi has been tied to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's spiritual adviser for more than 23 years.

The Libyan dictator also has financed and strongly supported the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan. Obama has ties to Farrakhan and his controversial group...

Jeremiah Wright, former pastor of Obama's longtime Chicago church, went with Farrakhan to visit Gadhafi in 1984.

OMFG OBAMA IS GADDAFI???! !! !! !!!11one

But seriously, I don't much like his ambiguity either. But if you have heard, Gaddafi has been accused of directly ordering/authorizing the Lockerbie bombing. Perhaps Obama doesn't wish to provoke a violent response. If Gaddafi knows hes going down, hes a cornered fox. He will fight, and is fighting, with the courage of desperation (don't take that as my saying he is courageous, it is an expression. I think he is a god damned coward). If an opening is feinted for him, this will perhaps be better, because maybe there will be no international bloodshed

The Americans have not evacuated yet. The place stocked up with US oil workers.

It's also a tightrope. The US position is that the international community must speak with one voice. If the US takes a high profile lone position, Khaddafi will point to it as evidence of a US plot. That nonsense works with some of the local dummies.

Typical liberal, can't come up with any counter other than accusing someone as being a racist.

He didn't accuse anyone of being racist, he simply made a sardonic comment on the weak nature of the accusations

He just did. One of Gaddafi's loyal ministers has called for the rioters to hand over their weapons, and admit to who has been giving them hallucinogenic drugs. (Hint, they want the answer to be the Americans.)
And no, I didn't make that up.

A cornered dictator is a dangerous dictator. I doubt Gaddafi will be able to remain as he is and he's stated his intentions. I think all can tell now that this isn't going to go like the way Egypt did. Gaddafi will probably plunge Libya into civil war through his own stubbornness. I think the momentum is too great against him though and he will go down somehow.

question: Is a revolutionary process wherein Muslim A kills Muslim B necessarily a bad thing for the rest of us?

Too be sure, Gaddafi did try brown nosing Obama a awhile back, from what I had heard on CNN. I consider it to be irrelevant, since it came from this lunatic who thought his greatest threat came from America.

That explains why Obama's Pastor was buddy/buddy with the dictator...

They all look alike to you don't they? Islam has almost nothing to do with the situation in Libya. A secular dictator is in the process of being removed by bunch of young liberal democracy protestors. If you cant pick a side there then i think your "anti-government" ethics dont run particularly deep.
