You can. You can buy tax-free muni bonds instead of other investments, you can shift your deductions into every third year or so and take the standard deduction in the other years, choose savings accounts that are taxed differently (IRAs and 401(k)s) , and probably a bunch of other things that I don't know about (the tax code is complicated).

How to offend the Right is actually quite easy, simply disagree with them and they go bananas.

Part of the definition of genius.

And an important component of being right.

Actually, right-wing people are used to people disagreeing with them. It's practically a shock to find people who don't disagree. Left-wingers though have the wonders of Political Correctness on their side, so as to require everyone to either be left-wing or be required to sound left-wing.

Buahaha. Yeah right, but you are going to be very irrational (and lack self-awareness) to say that left wing people are much more likely to get offended more heavily when people disagree with them than when people disagree with right wingers.

Both groups are very good at getting offended.

It is a dumb argument anyway. OMGZ you offended, therefore you wrong.

Actually right-wing people have their own version of Political Correctness. I've seen it on this very forum. The right has a PC rule against so-called "class-warfare". The right wants to silence people who speak out against destructive moneyed interests. They do this by calling liberals greedy/envious, or accusing liberals of wanting to "punish the rich".

I agree. I hate political correctness too.
I have some opinions that are politically correct and some that aren't. Whenever I talk about misandry or about how much I hate PETA it always feels scarier than when I bash the right.

Do not be afraid. If you believe something that is politically incorrect then say it loud and proud.

@ skafather84

Isn't there are a rule against posting porn on this web board, not sure if what you posted would classify as such. If it's not, then fine whatever.

@ marshall

That explains why people out east could tell I wasn't from the area because I was too nice and too polite...

While it's true that there are right-wingers who get easily offended, who do the laws of most nations favor?

I think you're mistaking an attitude about taxation for a variety of political correctness within the right. There may be a right-wing version of political correctness, but conservatives grumbling about their money being taken and spent poorly by the government (and not just on welfare, but also on the formation and maintenance of various financial vacuums also known as mindless bureaucracies.)

An expression of affection is not porn. That same kiss shared between a comparably good looking straight couple wouldn't be pornographic either.

My experience with many American right wingers leads me to believe their brand of 'political correctness' basically implies that:
Discussing homosexuality in an unbiased and non-religious manner is highly offensive
Mentioning atheism is often anathema and considered offensive, whether you disparage their views or not
Any talk of social safety nets or helping the disadvantaged is offensive
Mentioning other countries success and liberty makes them steam out of the ears because America is surely the only free country on the planet
Talking about anything negative related to right wing movements will almost always result in them accusing the perpetrators of being leftist, and that said right wing movements were actually 'leftist'

There are probably other facets of Right PC that I haven't mentioned
