Jews and Hindus dominate socioeconomically when you break things down by religious affiliation in the United States. Same reason for both. WIth a slice of self-selection on the Hindu side from the immigration of educated hindus to this country.

As such, they made money. As such, it further reinforced the stereotype of the rich Jew. As such, they were persecuted along with the rest of the rich in post-revolution Russia.
The same can be said of Jews throughout Europe and the world. Not for the quota system ostensibly applying where they were, but rather where they came from forcing their highly literate and educated minds abroad.

many Jews as part of the inteligencia and disinfranchised by the monarchy were part of the revolution. even in America because of their outsider status and their understandable antifacsism Jews were over represented among the american communists (my grandmother among them grampa was a dane and a wobblie) after Stalins purges became known in the west many left communism behind (some becoming Neo-conservatives) others became Trotskites under the 4th international.
Israel itself was largely founded by secular socialists. (the haredim were a slow to become Zionists many are still opposed to Israel)
