I hate News Corpse because it's a vile, cynical lie of a propaganda machine. I hate Obama more than you do (except for the racist bit...I could give less of two spits about birth certificates because his race isn't an issue to me). I knew when he was running that he was lying and wouldn't close gitmo or stop the practice of torture or effectively put an end to any war nor would he end corporate welfare over citizen welfare and I knew he'd side with the rich in the class war.

A lot of liberals don't like Obama.
Personally I don't like Fox because its partisan, full of sh** and funded specifically to promote an agenda. If it were a left wing media outlet, I would have the same problem with it

BS. Fox is massively, massively biased in favor of republicans. On Bill O' Reillys show, only 1 in 5 guests are Liberal, and when they are aloud to speak, Bill cuts across with a fallacious argument, and a million rednecks yokels jump up and cheer in celebration of the victory of stupidity


Is it bias, or the fact that liberals don't want to go on a Network that will actually ask them tough questions? I'm guessing it is the latter.

The constant attacks on the Fox News network are little more than an extension of the efforts to revive the Fairness Doctrine — the overt attempt to shut down talk radio. The Reagan administration deemed in 1987 that this doctrine was outdated and unnecessary because of the proliferation of visual and voice media outlets — a decision that remains even more viable today.

Whether visual, print or voice, the media divisions of reporting news or opinion journalism share a separate niche, one, however, that is often blurred by those who either fail or choose not to understand the difference. Fox, as do the other cable and network outlets, employs reporters who are as "fair and balanced" in their reporting as are their cable and network counterparts.

While Fox and MSNBC provide a wider range of pure controversy in commentary analysis (Hannity, Beck, Olbermann, Matthews), cable and network media also offer a variety of discussion panels wherein conservative, liberal, and pro- and anti-administration opinions are offered. As a frequent viewer of most political TV give-and-take, and, even admitting to a natural bias, I find Fox's mixture of conservative and liberal analysis more civil, erudite and objective than most.

Additionally, the notion that NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS are by their very nature less ideological and more straight than their cable alternatives is — well, truth, reality and fairness are in the eyes of the beholder. Reporting and analyzing the news have always been separate entities (except perhaps in the New York Times, which is known to editorialize on its front page) and must be guarded by serious journalists and hopefully understood by the public.

Finally, to voice dislike of Fox is as American as apple pie, but to call for its elimination as an opinion source, particularly because those opinions run counter to those in seats of power, is not only ignoble but also menaces the freedoms our founders and their successors in our armed forces have fought and died for. There will ever be a need for Hans Christian Andersen's child who notes correctly, "The emperor has no clothes!"

I mostly read and don't have cable television. I have to at least be semi-knowledgable about Fox News' lies because you have to know what your enemy is doing and what line is being fed to slaves. The semantic cues to watch out for.

I know, but it shouldn't be allowed to portray itself as unbiased, objective news. If they label their content correctly, I could give jack s**t about whats on their channel because I wouldn't watch anyway.

I wish, Mr Ruveyn, that turning off the T.V. would remove Fox from my life. My T.V. is almost never on, and definitely never on Fox news, and yet I still have to hear about it. I don't even live in the United States and it has an effect here as well

O'Reilly is a lot more objective and honest debater than anyone on MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NBC, etc.

And quite frankly you are hardly objective putting it mildly yourself. I know I have a bias, the question is can you admit you have a bias.

That's one thing that I hate the most. They aren't for any ideals. They're for the republican party, period. So long as it is the accepted line, that's what they go with. They have no ideals beyond towing the party line.

Again you show you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Sure they have people on Fox that are Pro-Republican, they also have people that are pro-Democrat. Fox News probably has more liberals than the other networks combined have conservatives. And the phony conservative on MSNBC is not a Conservative.
