Really depends on the weed and the experience but afterwards you can look at it critically and if you still feel the same way your all good. Weed makes me think faster, not slower. Still though I wasn't high when I learned about this I was sober anyways :P.

What I mean is that God is not a feeling. I've been high, it''s fun, but having a really fun time doesn't imply God exists. No matter how amazing the world may seem, there is no reason a God need have created it.

The OP's reasoning is just bonkers. If it took a psychoactive drug to get him to believe in God, more power to him, but I don't see how his experience made him so faithful.

A lot of Native American tribes use/used hallucinagins and such as part of their religious rituals.

What's stranger, the guy who thinks there's a god when he's high, or the guy who thinks there's a god when he's sober?

If there's a god, then I don't see why taking drugs couldn't bring you closer to him/her/it.
Or taking a brisk walk. Or a nap. Or doin math problems.
Seems like anything COULD work for somebody.

i can definately believe psycotropics allow for some interesting experiences, meeting god like figures one of them.

I thought rasta's worshipped Haile Selassie (former emperor of Ethiopia) as the second incarnation of God.
Do you believe that or do you just take the parts you like?
