to see how we relate to each other politically
and to see if the labels right and left have any meaning here.

Ideas, actions and words topic
The thing is, I can view these statements as ideas, words or actions. As ideas, these statements can seem very neutral; as words, political, and as actions, many cannot be undone once started (ie, abortion, war). i prefer to deal with each as they surface, and prefer to debate some more than others. Some are too general, some are too specific. Since i am a centrist, I prefer to look at many sides of an issue to see how right and left formulate their pros and cons, and compromise based on what the opposing responses are. I do not fence sit as a position, only as a way of looking at the whole argument, though I will say that abortion is neither right nor wrong, as it is a personal choice and I will not enforce a position that will limit choice.
