The turks ruled over my area for 402 years and they didn't contribute any development, almost nothing, not even in literature and arts.

Even the 23 years of French mandate contributed much more in the country's development and left some significant legacy.

Are you sure of the lack of contributions or is it a reflexion of your ignorance of them?

Yes,I am sure of it, you smarty.

Shawarma and some turkish words in our dialect aren't much from a contribution from a empire that ruled us for 4 centuries, I was talking about the scientific, economical, political, educational, logistical, organizational, literature contributions. France did those , the Arab invaders did those, the Persians did some of those, the romans did those (no chronological order) ...but the ottomans didn't.

The turks rarely invested in their conquered lands , they just took without investing in anything.

It's only by the late of their era, some reformist ottoman movements like Tanzimat did some reforms and attempted to do some development in area.
Ataturk attempted to do some "reforms" (but in the wrong way) but it was too late... the Europeans already arrived with big promises.

I am not saying that any of those conquerors were saints, far from it, but the turks were the worst. And the turks were the ottomans, saying otherwise is stupid.
