Most triumphant case of US hypocrisy?

It is not hypocritical if we have not passed it... and even if we do, the identity of this country isn't always so much our choices, as much as it is our reaction to it afterwards. By not going to war with the south sooner, we allowed them to keep their way of life, and allow slavery to persist... ultimately we were two Americas and one finally won out.
Surely this country is comprised of human beings who differ on various issues. The battle to keep America, America... is an ongoing one, and we should tread lightly before morally equating ourselves to the Chinese.
