A system of rules will always attract those who want and need to interpret and expand and multiply rules.

Given Muhammad's personality as passed down to us, the Qur'an will have been high on rules even before the Organizationals started.

For the bible, at least they used 'love' , therefore we can know the right attitude...

But if you are always fear of Allah....How can you ever understand Allah's teaching if you only have fear of the Allah?

For the' All rights reserved' I cannot copy it...rather interesting, but however, I have doubt about the reliability of the interpretation..

Perhaps I have to go back and read the original Holy Qur'an, no matter I can only get the literaral meaning, perhaps.

Muslims do not as such need or desire rules any more than Christians, Buddhists, atheist engineers, cooks.

Any organization - Islam, subsets of Islam - attracts by virtue of its organization four kinds of people: those who want the power to control the organization; those who want to motivate people and mobilize the organization; those who want the organization to give their lives structure and purpose; and those who want to impose order on the organization. Not quite the four basic Indian castes.

The ones who need to impose organization and uniformity WILL multiply rules in whatever organization they enter.

Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."

Course they are except in strictly Islamic practicing regions like Afghanistan.

Very true. Theory derived from others' observation and consistent with my own observations says all of us have in us all of the available styles. We tend to spend most our time inone style, but bring others out as appropriate. Yes I read A Thousand Splendid suns. Saudi women are not allowed to go out without a male companion. I don't know if that is the case in Iran though. I think even Iranian women are not allowed to go out without a male companion given they already have very few rights there. If I remember right, there was an Iranian movie I watched in which the women were not allowed out on their own.

I mean Muslim women not in those Islamic predominant regions are allowed to go out on their own as they do in India and Africa.
