Are Libertarians Fascist Apologists?
By lottery everyone was entitled to property regardless of an ability to pay for it. If property was sold to pay off a debt the property was returned to the original owner during the Jubilee year. This Religious Right idea that only property owners should be allowed to vote is wrong because everyone is entitled to property.
Everyone is entitled to the opportunity to acquire property by honest means. No one is guaranteed to have property.
By the way the Jubilee (Yovale) was practiced in ancient Israel (in biblical times) and even then is soon was stopped by those who acquired land and did not wish to relinquish their claims. It has no relevance to modern states and is not even practiced in the modern State of Israel.

The land reverted to the descendants of the families to whom the land was initially assigned. It was not done by lottery. You really ought to check the facts.

Libertarians are anarchists in disguise whose asinine ideas have never been proven to work and would wantonly destroy civilization. Taxes pay for civilization. If you don't wish to pay taxes and want to get away from "big government", feel free to move to Somalia or Kosovo.
Quite frankly, I really don't believe in DUMBMocracy either. A Russian I spoke with opposes it because in his words:
I don't have an ounce of faith in others to do what is right unless there's a proverbial gun pointed at their head forcing them to do it.
Which brings up the question: why is any one "entitled" to the wealth and assets earned by others?
Because not wealth and assets are "earned". Often they are merely acquired. White settlers acquired property by forcibly removing the indigenous populations.

I am not sure I see the hypocrisy though. I mean, with some of them, certainly. But let's take the following beliefs:
1) Anarchy is, all else equal, the best organization for society.
2) The best organization for society ought to be implemented.
Nothing about that entails going to Somalia. After all, it isn't as if Somalia is like the US, just without the centralized government. Somalia is a third world African country. It just happens not to have a government. A person can have multiple preferences and politically relevant beliefs.
Here's the response that makes Lind basically look like an idiot smear artist.

Don't say smear artist it makes you sound like you-know-who.
here is the "satanic verse"
-Ludwig von Mises, "Liberalism" (1927)
It is well known that Luddy preferred fascism to socialism.
prolly cuz he valued economic freedom to the more personal sort.
He is also the idiot the proposed the utterly tone deaf theory that any critique of capitalism is based in envy.
I rate him slightly better than Rand but still a knee-jerk anti-communist that pulled a competing system largely
out of his own ass.
Theory should be based on observation and experience two thing Mises was sorely lacking in.
Not because he did not have the opportunity but because he refused data that disagreed with his conceit.
I say bah humbug.

No. Fascism is all about having government control every aspect of society (military, economy, education, religion, media, science, healthcare, etc.), while at the same time allowing for private property and personal wealth, so long as every enterprise works for the good of society. At the same time, fascism strictly enforces a certain ideology onto its citizens (often attributing certain idealized characteristics as part of their national identity that should be emulated by everyone) and actively suppresses individualism and nonconformity, and criminalizes social deviance. In spite of these evils however (which I am in no way defending), fascist states have been known to have very strong economies. China could now be considered a fascist state. Although they are Communist in name, they now embody all of the above characteristics.
A lot of people probably confuse libertarianism with fascism because of its similarities to Ayn Rand's Objectivist philosophy which, although it stresses free market competition and individualism, is also strictly authoritarian, tyrannical and anti-democratic. Ayn Rand actually despised libertarians for their more anarchistic tendencies (once referring to them as the "hippies of the right"). However, even her ideas are not truly fascist (more social darwinist than anything). Her philosophy lacked the identity politics of fascism (in spite of her stressing Objectivism as the one perfect philosophy), was militantly anti-statist, and even allowed for some social deviancy.
Which brings me to the Tea Party. The Teabaggers have this idealized concept of what it means to be truly American. They believe that the only people who count are Judeo-Christian, heterosexual, English-speaking, middle class suburbanites. They view free market capitalism as an institution that protects this identity just as much as the military, and so they oppose any government intervention and shrug off (if not flat out deny) any problems that might stem from this institution. At the same time, they desire government intervention in issues they feel threaten their identity, such as gay rights, abortion, education, multiculturalism, and drug policy. The Tea Party is thus, a fascist ideology.
