An accurate technical one, I'd say, since a parasite is an organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host.

Ignorance is bliss if it has a heart beat and you abort it then its murder BTW  I haven't been a member of WP that long nor would I waste my time looking up past threads also if the topic has already been discussed why waste your time debating about it with me?

and all that shows is your lack of understanding,

these threads have already been through this ad nauseum, use the search funtion.

I think using the 'not this old chat' excuse is considered a logical fallacy.

after that criteria anyone killing anything with a heartbeat is a murderer, the defintions we have work because they are consistent,
that also means the differentiating factor is conscoiusness something that requires full neuro syncronicity,

this will in the ned be a waste of time as you do not seek understanding or you would have already learned this from what i said earlier.

resistance is useless it seems, honestly i wonder who drank the drencrom, the "murderous atheistic bastards" or the fundie.

No, it isn't. Parasitism for starters occurs between organisms of different species. Furthermore, a natural method of reproduction is not parasitism even if parasitism could occur between the same species. Why would a person have a uterus designed to receive an egg follice if it was parasitism? You can't have parasitism for something when the body designs that very thing to happen.

A 24 year old in a persistent vegitative state is still a person. It us just a person who has undergone an amazing tragedy. One should only die from old age and because they ask to die.

A amazing tragedy is preventing the chance of getting to be born

I don't see why not, when that exact same mechanism is efficient enough to bring forth live young. That developing child is developing only because it's functioning in the same way as a parasite.
(and BTW: I have no emotional baggage attached to the word "parasite" in this usage; neither do I think it degrades what might eventually grow into a "person")

Exactly the logic I go on.
A baby is somehow accorded less respect where it is inside one's body and because it is nourished by its mother's blood. But that is just another form of dependence that children have as they grow up from the point of conception. Babies have to be nourished, clothed, taught how to act. A mother not doing those things to a baby outside would be accused of negligence and carelessness, or a father if he raised his children and was the sole parent. But yet by the logic already used they would also be a parasite according to such logic.

Terrible. It is simply the practice of infanticide but now sanitized by the baby somehow being a 'parasite' for living in someone's womb.

I disagree - it's something which was once a "person", but whatever it was that made it a "person" is no longer functional/present.
Rather like a foetus doesn't yet have whatever it takes to make it a "person".

Ideally, yes - but s**t has a habit of happening.

But the fact remains that you tried to use a technical definition, and by technical definitions a baby isn't a parasite. And furthermore a baby is a person whether it's in a womb or not. Popping through a vagina or a caesarean doesn't somehow make someone a person.

Not when you step back and compare their survival and growth methods.

Aborted fetuses are NOTHING IN COMPARISON TO HOLOCAUST VICTIMS. When I think "Holocaust victim," I generally think gassing, burning flesh, getting shot for no reason whatsoever, and heinous experimentation on human beings. Since I believe I do know something about the Holocaust, you would think that at one time when I thought about abortion the Holocaust would enter my mind as well, but it just has not. Once. It is not even a genocide, since no exceptions happened during a genocide, and I do not think you are that inhuman to tell a mother that she has to risk dying in order to keep the child.

Just to let you know before you respond, I do not like the thought of abortion and prefer for it not to happen. Please note I just mentioned your reference to the Holocaust, and keep your response to that if you can.

The only reason I am pro life is because I have a niece who I love I think people should have a chance at life even if its a life not so good they still get the chance to live and make that life become a wonderful thing plus the mayoralty of my family are women so its kinda hard for me to support abortion when I have always viewed it as wrong but if she is raped or by incest its different because that isn't planned but aborting a child because she didn't want to get pregnant then she should have not had sex this is why sex education is important.
